I don't think it would make sense to mention Hella Mega, but you'd think Jimmy would mention that Billie's doing Global Citizen and tell people something along the lines of, look out for No Fun Mondays, so they know why Billie is playing a cover rather than doing a GD song.

Did Lady Gaga mention his name while talking about Global Citizen? The connection was gone while right she was telling the names lol

Yes he was listed in a long list of names, but I agree that Jimmy should have mentioned his participation again when introducing him and also explained his weekly covers thing he’s doing right now or it seemed random.

It’s cool that he played a cover, this way lots of people got to experience a bit of Coverups :P

I kind of expect an album to come out of this.

I know it’s not important right now but jimmy could of mentioned Hella Mega tour or FOAM

Why would you mention a tour that's almost certainly not happening during the middle of a lockdown when no-one can leave their house other than for essential goods?

Edit: Damn that was short but so good!!

Also like, I don't think relentlessly promoting your stuff is a good look for celebrities at the moment. When everyone is stuck at home and money is tight it's pretty much best to just do the performance and shut up unless they're promoting a charity or offering supportive words. Multi millionaires asking struggling people to give them more money is frowned upon right now lol.

I’d say Billie has done a good job at not appearing like an out of touch millionare so far, unlike many others.

Awesome thanks for sharing this! He makes using backing tracks sound like it's being played live. It's hard to do especially while keeping the energy that this performance had.

I love that he's literally just playing music all day long. I thought that around record release they had taken too much time off up until then and you could see that affecting the performances. In September when the single dropped they played a lot and you notice the difference it made.

Covid may be a blessing in disguise. Everyone is at home with nothing to do but practice and write songs.

I think they don't wanna promote something that's gonna be postponed and also they don't want to promote the idea of going out and having fun when we're trying to get it in people's heads that it is best to stay home.

Hella Mega will be 2021 and they'll have a whole other year to sell tickets and promote. Gd's plan was also to be around for a few years. I think there's gonna be a few releases coming up in the next 2-3 years without any major break. We're gonna get those 7 songs but now there's another 6. So I'm not sure if that leads to a Foamy Dos or two eps or an ep and an album.

I've had the same thought. All of the art that's being created during all of this will really help pull us through.

I also like that if he has donated money to causes/charities, he's not flaunting it. He's just at home, playing guitar, writing music and watching The Office for the millionth time.

Oh, and poppin in every so often for a "live" performance on a benefit or late night show.

He’s a low key cult hero 💚

I don't like when people flaunt that stuff. If you donate it's best to be quiet about it. A lot of stars like to push their personal agendas and to me it sucks because most have no clue how NPOs actually operate and a lot of the motivation behind donating is to negate taxes. NPOs are still corporations they just have different taxation rules and can evade minimum wage and labour laws. Research who you're donating to. If you can get more directly involved where you can SEE where your money is going and if possible be hands on with it (similar to when Billie Joe donated and rebuilt homes in New Orleans after Katrina) that's the best way.

For the average Joe and Josephine you're better off helping the people in your lives directly. That's the best form of donation.

I'm all for people donating and being charitable, but in times like these when so many are hurting financially, it rubs me wrong when celebs/billionaires feel the need to report their donation.

I actually was an intern for the American Red Cross (a local chapter) during college. I saw first hand what good they did for the surrounding communities via relief/crisis help and education. Funny - I now work full time for university who also has outreach education, programing and agricultural research for the whole state (also do international research and education as well). My roots didn't take me far.

He really has. Like we've talked about before, he's one of the most genuine, nice, down to earth people out there. He almost never comes across as a stuck up celebrity flaunting his fame and his wealth. He's very humble and normal.
