His voice is fine he's sounding better than how he sounded at record release time.

Absolutely. These recent videos and covers give me real hope for his voice.

Maybe these quieter performances are easier if it’s a hearing issue than when he plays onstage with a band

That’s a really good point. The off-key issue seems to be on stage in a loud environment. I wonder if there’s a way to correct that.

With these releases it’s a relief to know his voice is still there with just some minor issues. I think the big issue is most likely hearing loss.

This was so good and I love how he keeps putting stuff out like this.

I know he mentioned doing stuff like this (putting music out whenever) in interviews before the world turned upside down, I just think things have now maybe been accelerated a bit.

I don't think it sounds as good in a lower key but if he needs to take it down a few to perform it that's fine

Billie comes through for us AGAIN! That was so beautiful!  I feel so lucky to be a GD fan right now.

I think it's funny how the video is called "raw and uncensored" just because he said fuck once and not even in the song. It's another one of those "Oh nooo! BJA did a swear! 😧" moments.

I thought this was fake at first! That was such a great treat! It's a bit rough around the edges, but I thought it sounded good otherwise! And I love how he was like fuck I forgot the lyrics!

Occupational hazard and really not unusual for any musician approaching fifty.

Not unusual for any musician approaching 30. I played as a job for only 5 years. My right ear is fucked.

That’s true, but also depending on how serious it is, it can be more or less of a problem. Eg: Brian Johnson

It's great to see Billie having fun again - it looks like he enjoyed trying the song out "You know?"

He might need hearing aids, which could actually help tremendously. It’s just hard to get people to take that step. Luckily Billie has plenty of hair to hide them 😂

Would that work for playing music? From what I’ve heard from people who used them, they also enhanced all background noise making stuff like concerts or train stations sound like absolute mess. But maybe technology has progressed since then - hopefully, if he ends up needing them

They make them adjustable via smartphone apps now. I have a relative who can adjust hers for the setting from her phone. I doubt he would be able to wear them on stage with in-ears. To me it seems more of and in-ear monitor issue.

That’s really cool! I wish that was a thing a decade ago.

This is the most natural Billie's voice and love it.

Sometimes I have a feeling that he uses special effects (on tours) to make his voice deeper. His speaking voice is way different from his singing voice. I read a lot of comments and people are amazed how his voice sounds exactly like on the albums. To me not, it's completely different 😜

It's strange but to me his natural voice like when he sings Graffitia or BOBD and his regular singing voice during shows is something in between the studio versions.

I 'm trying to imagine Billie singing 21 Guns at the right moment in the living room, no way he would sing exactly the same. It's not about singing out of tune, maybe it's about the timbre

My opionion might be unpopular but in the studio his voice is usually transformed, cleaned. I don't mean autotune or vocal filter it's something different...

For instance - Dave Grohl. His vocal tone, timbre is perfectly the same live/studio.

I don't know if you have the same impression XD

Umm I guess it’s the mixing?

it’s different when you have just voice and guitar through mics or an entire band and using amps.

He has abused drugs and alcohol for years and years. Throw in being a long term cigarette smoker and it's no surprise his voice is finished. Sad, but true. I'm wondering now if buying tickets to see them was the right move, because hearing his voice lately has made me very worried.
