Theres not a market for resold tickets. I've been trying to get rid of mine, there's more sellers than buyers so a loss is likely.

Although refunds will be coming soon.

Yeah right now cause there's no certainty. Once a solid date is out and Canada gets the Covid-19 Vaccine out of clinical trials in the next weeks that will change.

There's a pent up demand happening and there won't be enough supply to match it. Maybe for concerts they'll match it cause there's A LOT of postponed dates right now.

Even if things calm down by July, I can't imagine that they want thousands of people at a venue after a pandemic.

It sounds like from what I've gathered that even if sports return this season that they will be played in empty arenas/stadiums. I don't see how these shows can go on which is unfortunate.

It's gonna take awhile for us to get back to our normal lives.

Vaccine is in clinical trials. If everyone is vaccinated it doesn't matter.

Right, I thought the vaccine wasn't going to be available in the US for at least a year?

We are still at least 18 months away - assuming the trials go successfully. They have give those trials 14 months of observation THEN if successful, make that vaccine for the entire world population. 18 months is a wishful thought at having one for every person globally.

All they have to determine if there is enough antibodies to fight the virus.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant. I could see the feds being like "no, we don't want your socialism vaccine handouts -- we'll make our own!!!"

... I'm obviously exaggerating, but I have to resort to hyperbole to try to make sense of all the fuckery happening around me.

That still takes time and then it has to be tested. There will not be a vaccine available by July

It takes time for sure but there's no other country in the world right now as close as this not to mention we were one of the later countries to actually have cases.

Based on some info I read though there is scientific data in China about the virus that dates back to early 2019. However, that scientist was punished by the communist government there when they were trying to keep quiet about the outbreak.

Also, some info out of India came out last week about how to treat those with the virus which may help with survival rates going forward. The problem right now is the media is not pushing the good news they're pushing the bad news because they feed off negativity and people's reactions to it.

Regardless if any country is close to a vaccine or not it wont be available to the public for at least a year after its developed. the earliest would be the start of 2021 if a vaccine is developed by then. There is alot of info floating around about breakthroughs and stuff but so far most of it hasnt actually gone anywhere or was jumping the gun. The best data with this is going to come from countries like South Korea and Iceland who have been mass testing. And anything that just helps treat the virus after infection isint a vaccine they were pumping Vitamin C into patients in China and they found it did help to fight the virus but that quickly spread around as being some kind of miracle cure.

Its just a case of being more realistic. Theres so much contradicting info even from professionals and experts its clear they still dont have a grasp on how this thing works.......and Im going to stop writing now lol

Oh, we will absolutely fuck it up. I agree. Even the simplest, most basic human rights are fucked up on a daily basis in this dumbass country.

Moving away from the stupid political discussion.... I definitely see the European and UK tour getting cancelled or postponed. US tour still has a good chance of happening I think. We just need to take things a day at a time and chill out.

No issues in my market with selling tickets

A pair of hockey tickets in the playoffs can cost over $2000

And that’s relevant to Green Day tickets how?

Not trying to cause an argument just stating a fact, since November time for at least the UK shows (and I assume the American dates as they sold less quickly) there’s been more sellers than buyers. SeeTickets official resale has had at least four or five consistently and Twitter is full of sellers, not buyers

From what I've seen it looks like it depends where your seat is. If you're in nosebleeds you're fucked. If you're on the floor there's no issues with those tickets.

Could also be how each stadium is. For example in this stadium I'm looking at there's a lot of seats but they're not all quality seats. It's kind of an awkward stadium and some seats even have obstructed views or are wayyyyyyyyy out from the stage.

I would assume you guys are having shows at football pitches which are less awkward and contain more quality seating. Maybe I'm wrong though, each stadium is vastly different.

That makes a lot of sense. I didn't think of that.

Yeah, this is what I keep telling myself too — even if the quarantines are lifted, the aftermath is going to linger for a long time. Even if it isn't mandated, I really don't think people are going to be comfortable with crowded stadiums any time soon. As much as that kills me. Even if I can just go to one concert or Indians game this year, I'll be happy. But I just don't see it happening anymore.

I was supposed to see Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Simple Plan, New Found Glory, blink-182, All Time Low, Falling In Reverse and My Chemical Romance all in one summer. God, this fucking sucks.

Don't you mean "hyper-buh-lee" :) FRA has ruined that pronunciation for me.

I know. The scary part is not knowing when I'll be working again. As long as there aren't any sports happening, I'm out of a job for the time being. I did file for unemployment, so that will at least help a little bit, but fuck. The unknowing in all of this is what's so dreadful.

Keep the faith.
