You think a band that wanted to name their album to mock their fans is going to do a free, intimate livestream?

No I don’t think they will

I want to invest in Green Day, inc. so I can have a say in the business @Sheenius

The Rolling Stones just postponed their North American tour which was due to start in May and end in late July. Hella Mega is dead guys, we have to face the truth.

Cool. Can’t wait for my refund.

I don't mind if it doesn't go ahead this summer but I do really hope it's postponed and not cancelled. I really don't want the stress of getting those tickets to have been for nothing and to have to do it again.

If they will really feel like doing something like that, why wouldn't they? I also don't really get the connection between mocking with the fans and not willing to go live for a performance cause they've done it before.

A refund is literally the best option. Yes it was crazy getting pit tickets (I actually got mine through resale for twice the price) but many people won't be able to travel to attend then. If the whole tour is rescheduled it will not be a matter of just a few months but more like a whole year. I don't think they will just move everything to 2021 and done, the expected dates will definitely change, I am not expecting them to move everything to next summer. I'd rather have them start the tour from scratch, even maybe adding more dates.

I'd say the best option would be refunds for those who want them. Not for everybody. Then everyone is happy.

Hopefully they open both options! If not well, thankfully there are e-tickets that could be easily sold and transferred.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers about 2 years ago had to reschedule gigs because of illness and they basically moved it to about a year later around the same time so it would be possible for them to shift the entire tour to a similar time frame in 2021 though obviously here we are talking 3 bands so logistically its far more difficult but its a wait and see at this stage

Weezer FOB and The Interrupters don't have a big 2021 schedule so it's possible.

Frank Turner is playing a live show on Facebook right now and raising money for his touring crew:wub: Yeah it's definitely not the same as a live gig, but it's still one of the most emotional shows I have ever seen. We're all in this together and music brings us together. I hope the boys will do something like this too soon.

oof hopefully! because let's be real, the main popularity of it was being a summer tour of the 3 bands. i'd much rather wait till next summer than have it be cut by the end of the year

It's a lot less difficult when it's done sooner and let's be honest this is a great deal for FOB and Weezer two lesser known bands than GD.

FOB being the biggest risk to bail and I'm actually cool with that cause they're the only band I'm bummed about seeing. Take them out put in Rancid and now we have something!

BTW people I think Rancid is working on something right now. Can't really confirm cause Branden has been a bit distant lately.

Looks like there may be no 2020 schedule lmao

I don't mind the tour being put back a year if it saves lives, I don't mind either FOB or Weezer not being able to make the tour next year. But I hope they don't cancel the tour as I've got a seat in the block next to the stage- I still don't know how I got it several hours after the general sale began- and I would never get another opportunity to see GD that close.

The Seattle show is the first of the North American tour, so I don't expect it to realistically happen now. This was supposed to be my first GD show in the pit. :( I'll be okay with it as long as they really plan on rescheduling if it gets postponed/canceled. I just hope I'm able to get a pit ticket again if this happens.

Branden Steineckert from Rancid shared this earlier and now he announced that Matt Freeman will post a video of him playing some Op Ivy songs. Even though everyone in a band couldn’t get together, doing something like that is still beautiful imo

I never cared for Rancid tbh but I just love Branden.

Ok so Glastonbury 2020 has been cancelled (which was in the same dates as UK Hella Mega) and people are saying this means those dates will definitely be affected too. As I've said, I'm mexican AND live in America so I'm not completely aware about the current european situation but I just read it is more because the festival preparation starts in the following months and obviously they can't work, which means it probably won't be ready by the expected date? maybe smaller shows (after all, a Hella Mega show will definitely be smaller than a festival) could go on but who knows. I really am being too positive I think.

Is this the new BJA signature junior?

I don't think a Hella Mega show with 4 bands will be smaller than a festival. They're playing stadiums. It's a huge thing. ☹️
If you go on hellamegatour.com, the Hella thing starts in Paris, excluding Russia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany and Italy. Btw, all these venues are still huge.
I'm not positive this time
