I personally think this is gonna be a long GD era. They mentioned being around longer this time and then mentioned EPs and the 7 songs being released some point in 2020... 

but then they also mentioned another 4 songs... (they could be working on these during their corona break?). I wouldn't be surprised if they just go right into the next album and then tour again. 

I'm looking at this era as more of a marathon. They're gonna go slowly through it for a long time. 

Edit: Forgot to add this, I'm curious to see what those 7 songs are and why they didn't fit on the album? Are they more standard GD or is this something they felt was special and wanted to expand on it?

And fans were very understanding because they knew the reason. This is only partly the coronavirus but it doesn’t fully explain their absence when they could be more visible online right now.

Exactly. I forgot to mention it, but yeah, obviously we were bummed out, but it was understandable. This unexplained silence makes it look like they don’t even care about this anymore and it can’t be just corona.

The current era has already 6 months and the tour hasn't even kicked off. A long road awaits us.

It's a shame this era has moved so slowly. First the way too long wait between announcement and release, and now corona fucking the tour up. This album deserved better for sure.

Those are my thoughts on it, they're either more standard GD songs, or ones that are another completely different flavor of GD, either way they were considered too different to be on FOAM, so it will be interesting to hear them nonetheless. I just pray that no one lets Billie design the next cover.

That's what I want to believe, but I keep coming back to the conclusion that if they don't care than why did they do it to begin with?

Up until now I would have defended the band no matter what (besides some of the obviously bad decisions made during the trilogy era) because at the end of the day they believe in what they do, but this whole era is just so fucking confusing that I don't know what to think anymore and I just want it to be over... I don't even care about answers or reasons anymore.

I wouldn't even be upset if that happened. This is supposed to be my nephews first GD show and I don't want him to see it if it's as half assed as the album ended up being. I love these guys, but they need to raise their standards.

The album itself doesn’t sound half-assed, I mean, if I wasn’t a part of the fandom, I wouldn’t have a reason to think there’s something off. They’ve created more ambituous and more complex albums, but that doesn’t make FOAM any less fun. But yeah, the way they’re approaching it, or rather ignoring it almost completely, makes it look like they don’t want to do this. That said, I doubt they’d go from being excited about their music to phoning it in just because they suddenly got bored. Maybe this isn’t a good time for them for one reason or another, but they’ve done enough great stuff in the past to make me give them a benefit of doubt before I assume they’re bored at their job.

I have to agree I wouldn’t be too upset with HM not happening at all (I’d take it over rescheduling). It’s partly that I hate the whole concept of package tours, but also, I’ve kind of got mentally prepared for it even before the coronavirus appeared, because things just seemed off so it wouldn’t surprise me.
