That Dude
I know it would SUPER irresponsible, but imagine a really over-the-top video for "Sugar Youth" that shows Billie drinking, doing cocaine and punching a prom queen in the face! Lots of nudity! Lots of drugs and alcohol! Lots of Rock N Roll!! Billie and The Prom Queen in a boxing match! Bring that guy from the Warning video back doing all his dangerous stuff too. We all know he's STILL living without warning! Maybe he actually DOES boink the prom queen, much to Billie's dismay! Oh! Saint Jimmy from the videos comes back - and Billie SHOOTS HIM DEAD. Whatshername comes back - and Tre and Mike stop playing their instruments just in time to SHOOT HER DEAD. The video ends with all the guys doing coke and drinking whiskey by a beautiful river. The screen glitches and we see they are actually at a terrifying swamp. - Billie Joe turns around and it's like the scene from Thriller by Mike Jackson. YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAAEAAH

That Dude
For some reason today, I got a "Smells like Teen Spirit" vibe from "Sugar Youth". It doesn't sound like it, but just the atmosphere. So I was thinking of a music video. Green Day are digitally inserted into the Nirvana video. Both bands are playing at the same time, so it looks like Nirvana are playing "Sugar Youth" as well. And then the crowd does a wall of death, seemingly crushing both bands. But of course, Green Day and Nirvana are too tough to die. As the crowd separates Billie is now playing with Nirvana and Kurt is now playing with Mike and Tre. Mike gives his curious look, but they keep on rocking. The day after this video and single are released, we get an amazing Green Day cover "Smells Like Teen Spirit", which gives the original a run for it's money. They decide to be brave and release it as a single. Then we get a surprise album! THE GREENISH TEALISH ALBUM BY GREEN DAY! An album of covers, but made into really experimental Green Day songs. People forget all about Weezer's "Africa" because this covers album is actually innovative and amazing! Heck, people start saying Green Day have done a better Nirvana song than Nirvana. OH MY GOSH. YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH
Popular Post 21st_century_gloria
I would love to see a music video for Graffitia. A proper one, like Oh Yeah or even Roof, with some sort of storyline or other goodies, not just a performance video. 6

Popular Post PursuitOfEpicness
This album is already kinda getting boring for me, I suppose I expected this to happen. I am one of those people that are already anxiously waiting for extra releases.

I liked the FRA vids with Tre on the ice resurfacer lmao but tbh Graffitia deserves a good video. Imo such a topical song should be addressed in a more serious manner if it would theoretically get a video.
Milo Goes To Pasalacqua
I was on holibops in Malta when my pre-ordered copy got delivered. I'm importing to my iTunes to play on my iPod right now since that's really the only way i'll manage to experience the album the good ol' fashioned way from start to finish and in order (i can't listen to it with shuffle off on my deezer cos i haven't got premium... Probably should get onto that at this stage but i've been holding out cos i'm just the poor grad in the office 😬 ). First full listen, here goes...

It's easy to blaze through the album and I typically start from Track 4 cause we heard 1,2 and 3 so much prior to release date. Also, hard to enjoy it while my vinyl is still in transit. Thanks Warner!

Thanks Warner! Same here. It's weird because it's supposed to be extra entertaining and fun due to the short length but it has the opposite effect to me. I got tired of it rather quickly and don't feel a strong need to listen to it on repeat. Also, I feel like the weaker tracks stand out even more because there aren't that many songs and most of them are very short.

The Grohl
Though I'm not playing this album everyday like I was after release, I still love it whenever I do listen to it. It's such a fun record!
That Dude
I hope this era still has more in store for us other than Hella Mega Tour. "Sugar Youth" could be a hit for them, but so could any of the songs. However, I wouldn't mind them sticking with the tracklist order and drop a new single and video every month or so. Father of All could be the first Green Day record (and one of very few records altogether) where every song on it charts. That is a great accomplishment even if some of them just hit #50 or something. I can't think of any albums where this has happened.
