What they have in common is that both categories give him views, and that’s what he need to survive. That’s also why, as any YouTuber, he has to publish a video almost every day, not by choice but by need of having a constant view flow. His video review of FOAM has 240K views in 14 hours, about 4000$ (I am pretty sure the RS reviewer got paid less for his review). How many of those come from people watching that only because they heard on Twitter he gave 0 to it, either because they are happy or mad about it? I am pretty sure a good amount, considering that a video he published a week ago has 70k views. Who paid him 4k dollars? You think posting that tweet about the billboard a bunch of hours before publishing the video, where apparently he reference the thing, was a coincidence or out of his heart and not a build up strategy? I mean the guy is just doing his job, but this is how his job works. His job consists also in giving 5/10 to the Harry Styles new record and 0/10 to Green Day to maximize his views. Would imagine its because no-one gives a shit about Coldplay 1

But they're both bands that a lot of people know and would watch a review for, whether they're big fans of them or they just want to check up on their most recent material etc. The only difference between the two reviews though is that GD got a 0/10 but the review has so much more views in so much less time

And of course I am talking about professional YT, people like Fantano that have hundreds of thousands of views as an average, not a once in a while success. You are right tho, many people are switching to other platforms like Twitch that are more profitable (at the moment).

Popular Post Met Fan
What a bizarre album and an experience to match. I'm able to view this in both very positive and very negative lights , something I've never had with any album before. I was appalled by this album on my first spin Friday night, fell in love with it by the third spin! Effectively making this the faster "grower" album I've ever dealt with, very odd. I'm not sure why that happened yet, I'd say it took a minute for me to fully grasp what they were trying to do/going for, but the truth is; I still have no idea what that is. I hadn't listened to any of the songs they put out as singles, which was a wise decision since the album is pretty short and I would have been left with what? Around 19 minutes of new music, for a new album/new era; that would have been a bummer. To me ,the music is Foxoboro Hot Tubs without the mid-60's amps sound, for the most part. Dos had 3 or 4 songs with the same feel, which leads me to believe that the FHT are now fully integrated into the Green Day sound and it'll be silly if we ever see it as a separate entity again. I thought Armstrong had gotten over this sound when Revolution Radio came out devoid of it but clearly I was wrong. As I said, I can see this album in both a positive light and a negative one, I'm choosing to go with the positive since I'm totally enjoying it right now. All the vocal melodies on here are phenomenally catchy to me, the chorus to the title track simply won't get out of my head and I'm sure more will follow as I get the lyrics memorized. I'm sure someone else noticed but there's some wrong lyrics in the booklet that came with the CD. Teenage Teenager and Stab You are the only two songs I don't like, which is amazing when you got a 40 minutes album but affordable when it's only 26 minutes. Junkies is amazing, although I have a little problem with it's chorus being too reminiscent of The Lightening Seeds' You Showed Me, the "And when I tried" verse. They're one of these alt-rock British bands that come out with 2 or 3 amazing songs on an album and everybody thinks we're in for a treat of a career but they end up sucking directly after that, there's at least one British band of that description for every decade since the 80's haha So top-tier for me are the title track, Fire, Ready, Aim, Sugar Youth and Junkies. Mid-tier is Oh Yeah, Roof & Take The Money. Low-tier is Graffitia, Teenage Teenager and Stab You. But it's still early days so we'll see if that remains the case. I know I said that I wasn't gonna talk about the negative light but one thing I'll mention cause it keeps buzzing in my head: there's a lot of moments on this album that is eerily similar to the music they have playing whenever I go to Forever 21, shit that rich marketing people in their 40's think appeal to teenagers, and they could be right, but it's not a good sound for GD at all. inb4 "why do YOU go into Forever 21 you old fuck?", well I have a teenage sister, douche! I've been watching interviews here and there and it seems a sure thing they didn't release all the songs they recorded cause they wanna release them on their next record label ASAP, which is good. tldr: I'm very much enjoying the album with few reservations here and there.

Popular Post Justin1
This album is as polarized as I’ve ever seen. Some of the bad reviews are REALLY bad.. The Lemon actually gave the album 0/10 and someone actually called it the worst thing to happen since famine.. ouch! 1

Popular Post GTP39Smooth
Just my thoughts love seeing people's opinions on this. Just I've been thinking about this since the announcement of the tour and album! For me I just like that it's just care free. Back to basics. Green Day from their start of their career said we make music for us and if people like it then that's great but if not who cares we like it. It's about finding some pleasure during this awful world we live in right now. For me being in the UK and just being on this planet in general. Im sick of Brexit talk, global warming talk, war, coronavirus etc. While I know its serious, we need to let go and enjoy what we have sometimes. Also, we are all in this together! Sorry for getting deep haha. I just feel this is an escape from everything. The songs are punchy and will be awesome live. Green Day are having a good time. Also there are still some deep issues they cover in the lyrics like in junkies on a high Billie sings rock n roll tragedy, I think the next one could be me. What a line that is. He mentions police brutality in graffitia. There is love songs, there is money, there is partying and some politics. There is a bit of everything and its not boring or expected. It's simple, 2-3 minute songs, rock n roll and a good feel album. I really like this album. Dont get me wrong it's not my fav. I would say 21cb in my opinion is green days best album musically and lyrically. Warning is the album I like the most. But I just think this era is about having fun and escaping from the world. Just my opinion haha. I said a hey ohhhhhhhhhh Edited February 12, 2020 by GTP39Smooth 10

CherryBombs&Gasoline
I think we should leave Fantano alone. The poor guy is just doing his job. But, for his own wellbeing, I hope he never gives an Ariana Grande album a 0-score.
