I keep forgetting about the download link, but yeah I didn't get one either. And they've done this how many times? I don't get how they keep fucking up.

Yeah honestly theyre a huge company there's no excuse for this crap. I've worked for family businesses, start ups and big companies. I understand small fuck ups like this for a small company with limited resources.

It's warner this shit should be tested before it's an official email. Maybe GD is better off as an independent?

Well I will say the official songs are noticably better than the leaked tracks but I still don't like this album. Grafittia is the only one I can stomach.

I think I enjoy this more than the trilogy and rev rad. It definitely feels like the follow up we should’ve got to 21 breakdown and I think they’re at their best these days when they work with new producers.

This album is such a tease though, it’s way too short! I would love 2-3 more songs. It’s over before it’s even started.

I have the next three days off and I’m familiar enough with the songs that I’m going to try and play along with my Guitar. Should be really fun.

It is a bit on the short side. I think it would do good with maybe one or two more songs, but not much more. And some of the songs cut off way too abruptly!

Geez I'm so high off this album that I need to stop myself from going in the Green Day store because I'll buy another variant!

(I'm sure just taking a look at my credit card statement will stop me :P )

(Maybe if I get a really good paycheck I'll do it...and maybe get a shirt >_> ) I'm just ridiculously happy right now, which I haven't been in like the past 2 years.

There are chords to a few of the songs online, but not many.

My favorite to play on my guitar is "Oh Yeah".   It sounds surprisingly great acoustic!

After working 13 hours, I am going to head to Target.  If they don't have Father of All.....I will be very sad.

Wow im really concerned about the amount of hate that the boys get on their social media. People seem to despise album so much.

I'm actually becoming annoyed with some people dissing this album, as it's abundantly clear they just want ballads and AI/21CB tunes. It's weird bc GD attracts a lot of fans that like their ballads but hate their hard stuff.

I jogged in the brutal cold snowy blizzard to a Wal Mart where I live and Ohh yeaaah, they had it. Got some bananas too...great day! Love the album, you cannot make a better rock song than Take The Money and Crawl, it fuckin rules. They better do that one LIVE. It's really short but, I love it! Oh Yeah should not be done LIVE though. Sincerely hope the short album is so they can just pull out some deeper cuts like Armatage, Geek Stink Breath or even Nice Guys Finish Last on the tour. All in all, it's new and I really dig the shit!!

It's not the album that I wanted but it's a lot better than the one I tought we'd get, so I'm happy with it.

It's well produced and like the instrumental / melodies.

What bothers me is that I always expect at least 1 song with a great lyric that will hit me instantly, and that didn't happen with FOAM. This "party 'till the world ends" kind of thing is so boring to me.

I have a feeling that most of those people either didn't give the album chance, or listened to it once without an open mind and instantly came to the conclusion that it's "pure garbage" because it's a bit different to what were used to.

No offence to people who think it is garbage, but to me the album is definitely a grower, even I do find it to be pretty average.

It's a forum everyone is allowed to share his opinion

and if people don't like the album what's the matter?

I think it's normal that some people want them to do something more meaningful and that doesn't make them lesser fans

I think this is related to what I was trying to say earlier. I think that here on this forum many people will enjoy the album because they are loyal Green Day fans. But I do not think that most people in general will enjoy the album -just check the reviews on iTunes or elsewhere.

I think that the lyrics are difficult to relate to, and the sound is not bold, original and elaborate enough to reach more people than just a part of the fanbase. I think that all these qualities, that are now lacking, were instead present in Dookie and American Idiot. In fact both albums created a much larger following, which touched and resonated with many people who before did not even know the band.

I related a lot with Dookie and American Idiot's lyrics, when I was a teenager or young adult, frustration, loneliness, feeling empty and useless and confused. Now that I am older, I deal with working too hard, or maybe not being the best person I can be in a stable relationship. Maybe most people my age (and Green Day's age or even younger people) do not really relate with partying and not caring about anything.

All of this to say that I think that originality and authenticity are missing in this album. I think this will become evident by looking at both the popular and commercial success of this album, which will probably be pretty mediocre.

Tbh, I’m sure they’re used to it. Not that people should be leaving nasty messages on their social media obviously (I haven’t seen what has been posted), but in any fandom I feel like fans are the harshest critics, lol.

Wow, I totally agree with these observations. I find the lyrics weird and subpar this time around, and even though I’m much younger than the band, I find the “party and be apathetic” thing to be disconcerting. I fully understand that the political climate is depressing and they don’t have to write about politics every album, but “the world is ending so let’s just DANCE” as the album’s thesis statement is so bizarre and absurd to me. I got into them in the AI era and fell in love with them because they gave a damn. RevRad primarily steered clear of politics with a couple exceptions and still managed to be authentic and personal, with lyrics I really connected with.

I don't think anyone's really saying that, but people that don't like it say that really from what I've seen. Like this isn't good enough to be green day music. And real green day fans shouldn't like it. So, for the most part it's just annoying. It's fine to be disappointed or want more from the band, but try and be objective about your reviews. Don't just say because this sounds a little more pop or rock or whatever, that it's bad. That's not really being objective

My expectations were super lower after the first two singles, but I gotta say -- I really enjoy this album and appreciate the songs more with every listen. These are some crazy fun songs and while it may not be what we have grown to expect from Green Day, I think that's what I love best about it. I felt a bit underwhelmed by Revolution Radio because it felt like such an attempt to recreate that post-AI formula. This new album rips up that formula. It's a bit chaotic and it's a hell of a ride.

The lyrics are superior to a lot of RevRad.  For me Im finding more layers each listen.

I think what shows how divisive this album can be is the fact that it is deceptively personal and humble, but at the same time the music doesn't always fit that or at  It's less punk sounding. Or it isn't what people usually think of when they think of a more personal album. And I get it doesn't really have as much of singular sound, so I can see how it throws people. But it's intentional. And I don't really mind it. It's like a bunch of different side projects thrown in one album. And the last couple songs especially sound a lot more like what we're familiar with from them. I personally have gotten tired of the political buzz words and whatever. American Idiot should've probably been their only political album. Rev Rad was more for the fans. It wasn't completely what they really wanted to make

Im relating most to I was a Teenage Teenager & Sugar Youth.

I've totally drunk whiskey by the river & smoked ...... I had a lot going on in my teenage years😋 (it was many many years ago).

It's not only the perfect record, it's the perfect workout tecord!

Fast paced, but with a few calmer moments so you don't kill yourself going super fast.

I just did a spin class to it😀
