Sad to see they didn't play many FOAM songs, come on, it was a fucking release party for this record!

As to the poster, for the love of god, if they need a new marketing team, here I am. I have good insight into what their audience wants so I know it's definitely not facebook boomer copywriting in a coke font.

Are they keep playing in their hotel right now? I’ve heard Welcome to Paradise and Dancing with Myself again but they looked so happy

Too bad they did’t play the entire record, I really hoped for that. But Oh yeah! sounded way, way, better than the Ellen show tho, happy to see that. Overall great performance, the transition between KYE and Bang Bang was awesome, and I loved to hear dancing with myself with Jason singing.
I know that during the tour FOAM will have more space, I hope to hear at least 5-6 songs out of it.

Regarding the poster: geez, some people is really teaming everything way too fucking serious. It’s clearly a joke, considering how many fucking purists are smashing this record (IMHO) for no reason I can also see it as an internal joke. Get a fucking grasp and sense over reality, some comments are absolutely ridiculous.

Some really good performances in this show, except during "Oh Yeah" I actually caught myself saying "Oh GOD" out loud.

I heard a little bit of "Nuclear Family" in "Scattered" too, that was a nice little nod. I hope that's a hint that they may play a couple of Trilogy songs this tour.

I haven't watched but also from the Ellen performance it seems Billie's vocals are fluctuating a lot recently. He's sounded impeccable at the earlier performances and now I see complaints all over the thread.

Sounds good to me, might not be one of his best performances, but it sounds in line with an average Green Day live. Bang Bang still sounds way better then in most of the RevRad promotional appearances. Oh Yeah! might still need the guys to get a little more comfortable with it, but it’s starting to show potential. Much, much, much better then on the Ellen show.
It’s also a live streaming on YouTube, not a post produced MTV performance.

Checking Instagram and Twitter, honestly I don’t see all this drama. Social media pumps comments that generate reactions, so of course you see on top of some IG posts the more hateful comments (some of of which are absolutely ridiculous, sometimes I have the feeling that part of this fanbase deserves to be fucked over, but I will restrain myself). But that’s definitely not the majority, nor a big group.
For the rest, people (outside of the fanbase) have been trashing this band on social media since social media existed, as it happens every fucking day for any commercial rock band. If you think these comments on Twitter or Facebook are any different then what was going on with RevRad or other cycles I think you are very wrong, any time Rolling Stone publishes an article about the band check the comment section, you’ll have fun.

Maybe the only difference is that this time there is a small group of frustrated fans that do not know how to express an opinion and prefer to join the trashing trend, probably due to the desire to feel cool. Of course I am not talking about all the people expressing their criticism in a normal or constructive way (definitely a majority of those not liking the record), but there really are some people that are better lost than found, judging from their reaction.

I enjoyed listening to Oh Yeah tbh I don’t know I think it should be on the setlist. His voice sounds so sweet, it’s slower and chill. I love the album version too.

idk Im probably salty that I thought a release party meant they would sing new stuff - this is on the eve of forking out $$$ for tickets & a little worried about getting a stale setlist.

Hoped that too, seems to be a trend unfortunately. Seems like they wanted to give the people there more of a mini concert, but I don’t get that. I would have preferred to hear the whole FOAM.
Unfortunately I am not sure if the band ever played a record in full except 21CB (I mean, for a release party or during a cycle concert, not talking about Dookie of course).
I think they’ll play more on the tour tho, Mikes’s comment on Twitter seemed promising.

You might be right, I’m not too good with remembering this stuff 😄We need one of the living archives :P

Yeah I was more thinking about release parties and similar occasions, not anniversary tours. It would be interesting to remember if this is a trend that started with the Trilogy, or if 21CB and that crazy cool theater release concert was more an exception than the rule. I have no memory of previous eras so I am mainly asking :D

What they should do is ditch this iHeart bullshit, go play FOAM in full on the Gilman Street backyard, and of course livestream it :P

Any way to watch this right now? Had to be at work when they streamed it on YouTube.

this is not the best quality, but there should be better ones out there on YT

I found some recording on YT, was about 50 mins, missing the first song (AI) but the rest was there.

Still have to watch the performance, but the poster thing is just ridiculous. Some people are so sensitive, I can't believe it. I used to think that I get easily offended but this is a whole new level. I mean it's called SOCIAL media, guys. It's basically a place for frustrated people to express their, well, frustration. I don't even have the energy to write negative comments on Instagram because I don't see the point of it. So nevermind.

They definitely did play AI in full when it was first released.. a few times

I am looking at the old set lists on GDA and this doesn’t look like the case, but I am probably missing something.

Ok yes, I found this storytellers concert for VH1, from 2005, where the played the whole AI. Would love to see something like that for FOAM, but I have the feeling we live in a too different world 😕 Gilman Street backyard and Instagram live would be good enough tho :P
