Green Day Alternate/Rehashed Song Titles

Just found out “Extraordinary Girl” was supposed to be called “Radio Baghdad”, thought that was really cool and for some reason it would make me like the song better (not sure why).

Any other cases where the original song title is better than the original or worse?

Where'd you hear that?

This one puzzles me. I wonder how they could have mixed up the title with the original song (eventually called Do Da Da)?

The original story I heard/read was that they decided last minute to add the song (now known as Stuck With Me) on the album but the Stuck With Me title (that was originally meant for the Do Da Da song) was already printed on the back cover.

But I'm glad to finally find out what the original title was for that Alright song.

That's how the story goes, but it doesn't match up with this list. On the right, you can see both "Alright" and "Doo Da Da" listed. So I don't know how "Stuck With Me" got assigned to the wrong song. The story must not be entirely correct.

If that did happen, what would’ve stopped Reprise from just recalling the misprinted copies, and send out corrected ones? (Although I will say that “Alright” is a fitting title for Stuck with Me, since it’s said a bunch in the song.)

I don't actually remember. Here's the rest of it. Add "Riot Song -> Panic Song"  and "Insomniac -> Brain Stew" to the alternate song titles list.

I always heard the titles for Stuck With Me (Insomniac) and Do Da Da (Shenanigans) were mistitled on the master reels

Well it sure is interesting that there is no mention of Stuck With Me on that list.
So that story might just be a hoax.

Don't know if this fits in this thread but Insomniac was originally called Jesus Christ Supermarket and I'm angry at the fact that they changed it.

I mean, Insomniac is a really good title for the album, but c'mon, don't tell me you wouldn't have liked an album called Jesus Christ Supermarket

The released version of You Lied (the only version) IS from the Insomniac session. It just wasn’t released until Nimrod. But if you look at the credits, it’s engineered by Kevin Army and mixed by Jerry Finn.
