This is a really interesting set list. It looks like they’re going to mix it up a lot more and finally stray from their standard one. I’m thinking though that at the pre-EMA show there will be a lot more of the standard hits.

Also the lack of FRA tells me that that they’re not really looking at that song as a chart hit. Hopefully new single soon.

The set was still all hits or singles though, just nothing from AI.

So Brain Stew and Revolution Radio. Can We appreciate how great he sounds during Brain Stew.  I think He will focus on singing while more difficult to sing and play songs.

Sounds to me like they may have played it in a different tuning to make it easier for Billie to sing

But it’s not a setlistI would have expected in a show  like this and with a short set. It just gives me hope that they’re going to shake things up a bit. And I’m so happy that Brain Stew is apparently part of the standard set list for now.

That’s the one that makes me happiest because they took it out of the RevRad setlist and I’ve never seen it live, even though it was a staple for years.  It was always a fun one with the cheering competition and the metal covers. I want it back.

Green Day changing up the setlist just when I decide it's not worth going to multiple shows - typical! Time to shake my fist at god

We all agree it’s time. I’ve been watching some AI tour shows and with the exception of KYE and RevRad songs the last tour was identical to the sets they did fifteen years ago. Time to change it up drastically (or as much as they’re willing to do and not neglect the hits people demand)

Yes, I completely agree. If they do it, I'll be compelled to do more shows

I feel like Billie will really struggle with FOAM later in the tour when his vocals get a bit tired

I agree, but then he seems to like to challenge himself because Still Breathing was a struggle too. He seems to write the most difficult vocals for himself and make them singles that guarantee they’ll be played as often as possible 😂

So they played Bang Bang too.

Bang Bang and RevRad. For only a seven song set it was surprising in several respects — nothing from AI, two songs from the previous album and only one from the new album (even though two songs are out).  I didn’t expect they would keep Revolution Radio when it wasn’t a hit and no one would miss it. Now I wonder if it will stay in the tour set.  I didn’t think it would and was hoping some trilogy songs would make a return. Still hoping.

Bang Bang was #6 in the bubbling under 100 chart, and made it as a hit in the U.K., so I’d say it did at least moderately well. (Also, I would’ve missed it, damn it. RevRad as an album was awesome. :D)

No songs from AI is a good thing. I’m hoping this means more stuff from Insomniac or Nimrod would be added, (do you know how fucking awesome it would be to hear Uptight live? A man can dream.) but i’m not holding my breath on them removing AI songs entirely, of course they aren’t. There’s also the rumor of them pulling a Reading 2013 and playing Dookie in full, which, I’ll take it.

Not a fan of that guitar. Particularly for Brain Stew.. seems too high?

sound is very off in the intro.

I can't wait for full footage of this! But if there's this, then what's happening on Monday? I'm confused.
