I'm not fan of this ''greatest hits'' setlist so far. I truly hope they will change it a lot since I have no interest of hearing same old 6 or 7 songs from AI. I feel like I was very lucky to hear one of my all-time favorite Green Day songs ''Stop When the Red Lights Flash'' live back in 2013 and I even got to hear Stray Heart and Stay the Night! Those three awesome GD songs have not been played since then (except Stay the Night during Longshot shows) and I hope they would bring some of those Trilogy songs back to setlist because they are fucking bangers live.

At the end of the day, no matter how much I pray that some rare songs get more love, I'll be happy to hear She for 203123123123th time and I will never get tired of it. New songs are probably gonna sound good aswell so it's not like the concert will be fiasco, but I'm just tired of hearing same songs tour after tour.

They also played "Murder City" in 2013! Hope they bring that one back.

Oh yess!!! I was so excited to hear it live! They have so many fucking good songs so it's a huge shame they waste these big ass tours for greatest hits only...

And I have a weird voice also.

I guess you must also be happy to have had your own band, even if perhaps you have a more ordinary job now.

Hey nothing wrong with a "weird" voice. Neil Young is a perfect example of a great singer with a "weird" voice. Another is Geddy Lee from Rush.

I'm definitely happy that I took all I had and put it into music at that moment in time. My father was a drummer and I've been singing and playing instruments since I was 3 years old. I knew I wanted to pursue it as a career choice after finding out about Rush when I was 9. I actually got to meet Rush and that was just amazing to be able to be backstage with the guys responsible for all this madness XD

My job now is ordinary on a tax form but I wouldn't say it's ordinary. One thing I learned through my time in music is how to conduct and lead a business. I've been in business management since then but mostly I'm an investor. I want to retire early to play music. The dream never ends.

Here’s part of Waiting. This sounds much better too than when he played it on the RevRad tour. I wish I knew exactly what was different, it sounds more controlled, slightly lower maybe?

Sounds better vocally, can’t really put my finger on it either

I don't know, I prefer this RevRad version of it (and not just because of the missed button :)).

This is the song I want to see on the next tour the most. I missed out on seeing in as my city didn't get a leg 1 show for Rev Rad

Here's my recap from the show:

So me and @solongfromthestars arrived on the bus from Faro since that was the cheapest way. We explored the beautiful park surrounding the Plaza de España, which was closing at 4pm the day before because of the show. Nobody seemed to know where the entrance would be. We weren't sure and there didn't seem to be any other fans around so we went to McDonald's. On our way back, we heard the first chords of American Idiot. Fortunately we were close enough to get back to hear the rest of the soundcheck. It was so exciting! It finally hit me that I was actually seeing Green Day the next day and how much I'd missed them. While soundchecking Jesus of Suburbia, Billie actually said "I don't even want to play this song!" Father of All sounded amazing.

Once the soundcheck had finished we decided to walk around the park to see if we could find the entrance. We found a small line at the back. There were about 10 people there but I was told I'd be number 48. One group were clearly saving lots of spots but refused to answer when asked if that was the case. Then suddenly people started arriving with suitcases. I have to say it is a group of Europeans who I believe will be at almost everything, so just a heads up to expect this.

By 3am, I was given number 20 by a kind Spanish fan because I was actually there and they felt that was fairer. I'd spoken to one of the security guards, who told me that by 3pm it would be difficult to leave the line. Suddenly they took us into a numbered line closer to the venue. We all left our water and food because we thought we couldn't take it in. From then we had about three hours to wait and I started to struggle a bit, since I'm disabled and didn't have anywhere to sit with my legs in a lot of pain.

The venue were very good when they let us in. They tried their absolute best to keep the line in order and to stop people running. I knew I just had to walk as fast as I could (which was very, very slow!). There was just me and a guy with a walking stick left and then the next group even caught up! But thanks to solongfromthestars and @The Bellie, I still got a spot in front of Jason, which was much better than I could have hoped for. I was just glad to be there.

I really liked León Benavente. They were different and reminded me of the Portuguese rock bands I liked when I was younger. This song really got stuck in my head:

I could see why people liked The Struts. They really got the crowd going. It just wasn't my thing. I actually didn't know they were from the next town to me in England! At that point I hadn't had any water since about 2:45pm and I was so dehydrated and in so much pain. Then it was time for Green Day. For the most part I forgot about any aches and pains!

It was interesting to see Minority open. I enjoyed RevRad. I think some people preferred Bang Bang but I liked RevRad best! FOAMF was absolutely incredible live. I also enjoyed Basket Case twice because it was just hilarious. "Shall we play it again?" I was happy to see the two Spanish fans who'd lined up get onstage. Unpopular opinion but I was glad to see the Shout medley, since I feel it showcases Billie's voice so well. I always love hearing When I Come Around.

The two real highlights for me were She and Waiting. They're two of my favourite Green Day songs. I was singing my heart out!

It was a wonderful crowd and lovely atmosphere in a beautiful setting. There was no jostling for position. Everyone was having fun - so happy to just be there. It was pure, unabashed fun and love of the band.

After the show, I had to be peeled off the barrier and helped out by solongfromthestars and The Bellie because I couldn't walk anymore! So glad I went. It took us 48 hours to get back home but it was all worth it! Can't wait to see Green Day again soon.

Tre is still the best though. If you make Tom Delonge cry you're A1 in my books.

It's 6 am and I feel like shit but Billie just inspired my mood for the day. For I, too, piss excellence 24/7 even when it doesn't feel like it.

Well, during the revrad era the band did some arrangements on some songs. Waiting was played half step up using standard guitars. They did the same with American Idiot and Jesus of Suburbia but with Eb tuned guitars. The main goal, I think, is that all those songs can be played with open chords instead of only power chords. Besides the slight change of sound, is less stressful for the left hand.

What you got here in this video is the same arrangement they used for revrad era, but played with downtuned guitars, so it sounds like the normal version. I believe they have played the song like that once or twice before only, so is kind of a threat now

My full recap is now up on GDA! :D

Here are my photos of the line and some screenshots I took from the video

I also made it into the video and I usually have a resting bitch face on all crowd shots so I can't believe I'm actually smiling... and smiling a lot, even!

The crowd wasn't at all violent (very passionate but just for fun!) but I'm still covered in bruises from my own dancing

Thanks! I knew it was something, but that’s the kind of thing I would never have picked up on.  So assuming this is the case, the vocal is in fact lower to match the down tuned guitars?
