They're too different to compare really imo. I like the sound of this one better but I too enjoy KYE live a lot (plus "raw ham"). Both good.

No, I think they're very comparable. Both short (though not same length admittedly) and both very very VERY repetitive. Also both sound like they could be used for sports or commercials (and that was the case both times).

Had high hopes for FRA to be an awesome second single, didnt think it could suck worse than FOA.. (which is definitely a grower, but still just "meh")

I think they’re similar in this sense (short and simple chorus/verses scheme), but extremely different cause KYE is a typical punk rock song, that does nothing outside GD’s comfort zone. 
This is another punch in the face of that comfort zone, part of the reactions here stands to prove it, even only taking into account those amazing piano and synth bits of the melody.

I respect this, but I totally disagree. Unless they have something artistically relevant to say with their “classic” sound (what is that by the way? Dookie, Warning or AI?  ), I’m glad they’re producing good music going out of their boundaries. With this approach to music we would have never had Nimrod or AI, and Green Day would be just another pop punk bank, IMHO. I’m glad this is not the case.

Every time I open the comment section of a social network I think that a lot of people should stick a hammer in their mouth and knock their teeth out to the ground. So yeah, I can relate to this song  

Honestly, today I prefer GD approaching this sort of stuff aggressively and with irony, rather then with another emotional ballad made of stuff like “One, 21 comments/ You are hurting my hearth/ you are hurting my soul/ I’m hurt and you know”. 

But of course that’s just me, and the me of today

I don't think anyone's saying they "owe" us. But if they release something that's really below their usual standards, then it's fine to say that. I think it's dumb to say the songs have "ruined GD". If you don't like these songs, it's not like you're automatically gonna hate everything they've done prior. But I don't think I've seen anyone say that.

I don't think this is them outside of their comfort zone at all. The only reason it sounds different to a typical GD song is the vocal filters. FOAMF is them outside of their comfort zone because not only does it have a lot of vocal effects but the vocal style (the falsetto) is different. KYE and this are very comparable but KYE is far superior and is overhated imo

The typical troll activity, exasperating communities, provoking (stick) and feeding lies (bones)

The punishment is destroying the other’s opinion, altering its true meaning

The album is 26 minutes long, this is 200% what I expected.

I didn't say everyone. But I'm always hearing people say stuff like "I hated the song first but after listening to it over and over I like it now" (paraphrasing of course). I'm all for giving a song a fair chance, and if you just like the song then great. But I'm sure that people do that whenever a band they like releases something they're not really digging

Why is Billie writing about internet trolls anyway? There's nothing to say about them other than they try to get a rise out of you. And Billie seems like the person to take the bait when trolled. Just think back to that whole Instagram post about Trump thing and Billie's over the top reaction

To the people that absolutely hate this track, may I ask what other kind of music you listen to?

It’s not the greatest song in the world, but it does heavily remind me of the music I used to listen to in high school (2008/9 I guess?) I’m hearing The Hives, The Vines, The Strokes etc all over these two new tracks, which isn’t a bad thing but it is a pretty bizarre throwback sound to throw at your fan base out of nowhere...
