I hope they have heaters onstage. As of now it’s set to be cold but not frigid, about low 40’s which is not too bad.

I wish it was low 40's here

The time playing in the arena will be short but I can’t imagine they would set up a stage outside and describe it as a concert and then only play five songs, especially when they seem to be the only band playing that day.

Yeah I'm only going off of what they would do for Good Morning America concerts, which are free. They only played for 15 minutes. With the way they're talking about this and since it's not televised, like GMA, I'm hoping we get more songs than that. I'd be happy with about 8...10 is better but we'll see.

After the 2 frigid, icy days we've had here 40s sounds like a heatwave

That freezing for them. People were wearing puffer jackets in LA when it was 70 in November. I was in shorts and a tank top.

I agree @kaylubd. 40 will be a heat wave. It was a blustery 14 for me today (felt like 8).

That’s why I hope they have heaters for those delicate Californians 😄

Billie Joe has spent some cold nights in Minnesota. He should be ready. Isn't the all star game in st.louis? I don't even consider that cold 😂

Today is -2 here and that's like about 13 degrees above average.

So what will prevail - my love for Green Day or my dislike for sport? I haven't checked if I could watch it on TV yet.

Omg watch the Aaron Hernandez doc on Netflix and then we can really talk about the axis of evil that is professional sports. And college sports for that matter.

Yeah like you said I think this is different because it’s not a recording for a TV show.

Unrelated, but it can't be too often that they play outdoor sets in the winter. Might be a good question for @Todd; do you know of any notably cold performances off the top of your head?

There was the alley show in November 1997 in Toronto.  6 songs there.

An alley just off of Queen St. here. The day's temperature in F ranged between 34-41

I think it was about 37 F when they were playing

O.A.R. plays Friday evening. Maybe the length of their set will give us a rough idea of how long Green Day will play. I'm taking Friday of work, so I'll probably check out the festivities around the arena that day and get the lay of the land.

This and their 2004 NYE performance

I keep getting excited thinking maybe this is where they'll play Oh Yeah live for the first time.

I think they should play all the three songs, probably they'll play OY though

Ooo I would love to hear all three! Though FRA is the weakest of the three, I still think it has potential to be better live.

You would think if they're ever going to play FRA, it would be here.  It's their NHL song, makes sense they'd play it, either at the outdoor concert or inside later .

Maybe that’s why they haven’t played it, they were holding off until this.
