Had a great time hanging with @Jon Benjamin and @kaylubd 🙂 The band Friday played for about an hour. Security said they were working there today until 6. Photographer thought the show would be 45-60 minutes. 5 o’clock came and went. They were nearly a half hour late and were out of there after three quick songs. I just don’t know what to think. What I saw was great and I was expecting a short set but not this short for the stage, lights, pyro, videoscreens and all the fuss they went through. Going back to the hotel my uber driver said he drove a member of their crew back to their hotel that morning and he was saying how they were having all these technical problems and were using borrowed equipment. Not sure if that can be verified or if it had any bearing. Nothing seemed amiss watching them set up or anything. They were just late. People were so confused when they left we all stayed just looking at each other wondering what to do. Then after a few minutes they came back and we thought they would play more. Billie joked a bit and teased JAR and She and then they played FRA again instead saying the crowd didn’t have enough energy last time and that we should try again and not fuck it up. He was joking of course. They played it and left again and that was it. I will add that what they did play sounded and looked amazing. Great performances just more like a TV taping than a concert.
