*goes and watches video on repeat allllllll day

The gorilla in the kiddy pool might be my favorite cut-to clip so far, but I'm totally the chick in the white fringe, flapper dress dancing when this song is on.

The red backdrop during the performance scenes reminds of "Cell Block Tango" in the film adaptation of "Chicago."

I don't know why but it always reminds me the remake of this clip in Once upon a time in Hollywood :D

For the statistics nerds:

300k views in 13 hours.

As a reference, the Oh Love music video had 223k after 16 hours (https://web.archive.org/web/20120818140934/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWwMqa-_210

I think these are average numbers for their level of popularity.

It's hard to compare with Oh Love cause that song already had a lyric video out before and was like 5 min longer. Shorter videos can benefit a lot from YouTube's ranking boost due to the relationship amid the view time and the viewers.

Sure, it's hard to compare, and to understand if it's a success or not we have to wait for a longer run. It's just a reference number. That said I don't think the song is doing bad so far, I think it's also too early to call these average numbers :)

In today's youtube viewing world, anything over 2 1/2 minutes is considered long, so really they are catering to the current generation by making "short" songs.

I'm calling them average for the lapse of time, I understand that it's not so much but usually a video in his first hours is mainly viewed by the people of the fan base, people close to them and outsiders. The real advertising starts some days after often after analyzing first reactions. I'm not calling them bad but not extraordinary, hope the buzz and the right advertising will take the song higher and higher 🙂

Honestly this is their best music video in years. its eye catching and fits the song perfectly.  Most of their previous efforts over the last few years have been less than inspiring in any shape or form. This packs a much needed simple punch

Just watched it. The description for it is, again, cringey as fuck and annoying. I instinctively moved towards the 'block' button just to make that nonsense go away forever. The video is good though. Again, I don't really care about music videos so it's pretty much always a meh experience for me but this one got my attention. The boys looked good and the footage they used was cool, definitely a video worth watching again to catch everything. It was a success in terms of making the song sound better than ever. I already loved it but the video really fit with the vibe and reinforced the songs strenghts. The footage from BIAB made me smile. I don't get why people are upset over it lol but to each their, very dramatic, own I guess. Still loving this era so far despite finding some parts of it incredibly cringe. All part of the fun though! Very excited about the fact that the video wasn't shot at the Madonna Inn too since it means we're probably getting something else from that.

Billie's shitposts

This is how I need to think of his posts. Billoboi, my hero, shitposting
Instant feelings of pride, joy and love instead of cringe and annoyance.

Is it me or has Billie turned orange? Looks like he’s gone full Trump. Could be the lighting but still 🍊

Green Day: Makes a video that is basically the same concept as American Idiot, which everyone loves.

GDC: "What a terrible video. So boring."

Hearing that people liked "Oh Love" and its video better than FOAM and its video just shows me that even among GD fans, we have all very different tastes.

Yes if you get tan from a bottle. It’s probably just the lighting in the video cause it’s not just Billie.

Someone shared the numbers from the music video and it appears to be gaining momentum quite quickly. If it continues to do so it should gain heavy momentum and the algorithm on the site will work in their favor.

This single is looking to be a lot more successful than I ever though it would be. I would assume this may be due to the fact that this new sound may appeal to more people outside of just the general Green Day fans or general fans of the genre.

Also being just a bit over 2 mins is beneficial. It's to the point and quick. People will most likely view most of it because it's short in length. Stats for Oh Love probably show 90% of users dipping after the 2:30 mark.

I didn't mind the music videos we got for Rev Rad. I thought the themes were borrowed from previous Green Day eras but somewhat rebranded kind of similar to the album's theme itself.

Bang Bang was reminiscent of the Nimrod and Warning era. Still Breathing had elements that were seen on some American Idiot music videos but this one probably remains the most unique of the lot.

Rev Rad's video reminded me of those old school GD videos specifically the Welcome To Paradise one.

What I like about the new video is that it's new and opens a new chapter for the band. It also seems to be tailored to a modern audience with little to no attention span.
