I imagine somewhere there's a room with all the never surfaced Green Day stuff, like the place in Hogwarts, but with C & V, the Forever Now video, this video, the horror movie they never made, the AI musical pro-shot footage, soundboard recordings and most importantly Otis remixes.

Billie's garage

So after all this time, I heard FOAM on the radio today (Only second time) and saw the video on Kerrang tv (first time)!  Is this just build up to the album release?  Sounded great on both.

Not their best, but not their worst either.

(It is better than the Rev Rad, X-kid, Forgotten, and Brainstew videos...in my humble opinion) (oh and Welcome to Paradise)

Just a video of a cassette tape turning.

I thought so. I thought that was just audio and not considered an official music video.

I prefer this to all the RR videos except Bang Bang. It’s also better than Oh Love and Stray Heart (with the band showing up in the video I would have probably preferred this one).
Not even comparable to the rest, but that was a completely different era for music videos. Maybe I still prefer it to LOTAG and KYE tho, those were quite boring and forgettable, despite the bigger production value.

I think I only watched it once, but the things I remember are boring. I still want to see the one that's been dismissed though.

I actually like the Stray Heart video. I think it's a cool concept, though an appearance from the band would've made it better. FOA is a decent video, better than all the Trilogy videos though I wouldn't say I prefer it over the RevRad videos.

Not sure who the director is, but there is just too much going on.  There is all this clicking at the beginning and then spinning throughout.

And a song playing during all that.

Just gawdy and tasteless.

I totally agree on Stray Heart and I really enjoy the Bang Bang video. The RR one is ok, but I barely remember it exists from time to time :D Still Breathing is a cool one, but (probably belonging to the blasphemy and genocide thread) sometimes I really don't digest the overall hyper emotional atmosphere and the stock-alike images, usually it's not one I go back to watch. In its simplicity I think the FOAMF video is much more enjoyable.

Agreed on Still Breathing. The video perfectly matches the song, but it's sometimes a bit to simplistic, like stock images or Instagram photoshoots. It's still good, though. I'd just prefer if there was more of the band and less of the line-by-line literal images.

Agreed. Then I also think that GD haven't released a really, really, really good music video since AI. The rest is cool, great being a fan, mostly enjoyable, but considering what is out there they've always been a little below the average at least in the last 10 years IMHO. Which is acceptable from a punk rock band, but with the right director/production they could do so much more 😕

Edit:
Yet Green Day never did this:

Yeah I like the Still Breathing video, I think it's the best one from the RevRad era, but it can be a bit cheesy and really doesn't compare to their best videos. I think the last really good Green Day video is actually "21st Century Breakdown." The animation is so cool, yet it doesn't seem to get a lot of love. I actually find the Bang Bang video kind of lame. The lyric video was so great and then the video was kind of a let down. I like the concept, but it's very meh to me.

Back in the U.S.A.

That is all.

I always forget this one! You're right, this is probably Green Day's last really good video! I think I forget about it because it wasn't really promoted heavily and it's tacked on to a compilation album.

Their video game isn't that strong (which is cool with me, I don't really mind that much), I agree. But I'm glad BITUSA and 21 Century Breakdown have been mentioned, because I think they're great and possibly their best

It seems like their music videos were strongest in the 90s and during AI. Even though I can't stand Sam Bayer he gave us some great videos for the era....which is strange that he later gave us two of the worst GD videos (Kill the DJ, Oh Love).

He's had a few great ones and had a few bad. WMUWSE might be my least favourite GD music video. The part with the band in the second half of the song is good though.

Going into the 90s the videos from Dookie right till Nimrod are mostly great. Redundant was probably the weakest at that point. GD has always had some interesting music videos for better and for worse. It was a big part of their charm. Something that isn't really a factor now cause music videos are so insignificant in the modern era.

I like the intent of the WMUWSE video but I agree I don't like it. And compared to other videos from the time Redundant is pretty weak but I actually like it. I like the look of it and what it does.

I feel like music videos would be relevant again if artists actually did something interesting with them. Most of the time it's oh look here's us performing in front of a back drop. But if artists took the time to actually do interesting videos it could get people to care about them again. I'm a big music dork so I'll always care about videos lol.

I'll always watch them but I agree I haven't really seen one in a while that's been interesting.

The last GD video I really liked was 21st century breakdown
