Something tells me it’s just gonna be a straight performance video

In retrospect, this would have been better.

First the AI cover, now bullet in a bible snippets, they are messing with us. Billie say to forget about the past but they didn't =P

Low budget music video... the scenario was great but the compilation videos of dancing was too much, many edit cuts showing band and random videos, band, and random videos. Poor Edition.

They barely used the dancers on the back of band.

5/10

@Montclare I am gonna admit that BJ's teeth suited the new video.

The boys looked fine - should have shown a bit more of Mike.

Btw I liked the music video and their visual in general. It gave me hope that they are moving in a different direction but not tooooo far as in a foxboro kind of thing.

I think that’s kind of the point. They’re not ready to have a legacy, they’re still evolving and creating.

I wonder why Mike chose to play a Rickenbacker bass on this one, did he mentioned something on recent interviews about using different bass guitars while recording FOAM?

I'm thinking Madonna Inn was just a photoshoot for promo pics.

Or maybe a music video for the Magnum Opus album.....hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔 Because we speculated that the Madonna Inn actually fits the aesthetic of the Magnum Opus cover

Just pure rock n roll...I thought the video was very punk....I'm confused now about the whole madonna inn thing though.

The Tubbies weren't that crazy though. This feels different in a way, can't quite put my finger on it. I don't know, since AI I'm almost never the one to praise "new/modern Green Day", but I quite liked this video.

I think what I really appreciate is that, messing with us or not, they're clearly not taking themselves too seriously, which also takes some of the pressure off me and this time round the concept kinda works, at least for me.

AI is the past, we're not gonna get another AI, nor should we. There's something in this video's attitude that makes me excited that we might be about to witness Green Day moving in a lot of different directions we didn't anticipate. Going against the stream of what everyone expects from them. If that's not kinda punk, I don't know what is.

I also now kinda get what Billie meant with his "rock should make you feel bad" comment. This video illustrates it. It's crazy, it's wild, (also sometimes sexual, but in a kind of old-school rock/punk way), it's fun, but then it's dark, it makes no sense, then occasionally it does.

As I said, for once, I'm kinda diggin' this tbh
