Maybe it’s like billboard? The February 16 chart there it’s actually considering last week sales, and on Tuesday they are gonna release the February 23 chart, that refers to this week?

Oh does Billboard work like this? I don't know to be hones. So in today's Billboard charts there's no Father of All as well?

FINALLY A NUMBER 1 ❤️

Given their longevity now it becomes more challenging for them to achieve a number 1. It is quite normal for artists who have been in the industry for more than 30 years, so for me this is quite an achievement.

I don't think Green Day cares what it sells. I mean the singles were literally tracks 1, 2, and 3 in order. Doesn't seem like much thought was put into it.

I thought that seemed deliberate.  Front load the album with singles.

To be fair, tracks 1‐4 are singles on AI so I don't think that really means anything.

Though they probably aren't putting much thought into it.  Billie hasn't seemed overly enthusiastic on any TV appearances.

Green Day have had 4 new entries on the UK Rock Chart.

Meet Me on the Roof debuted at #12

Oh Yeah entered the Rock Chart for the first time at # 19

Fire Ready Aim has made it's debut on the chart at #26

I Was A Teenage Teenager has debuted at #33

Extract from Kerrang! Article on their 4th UK no 1 Album -

“As for Green Day’s latest release, in the UK Father Of All… has so far had just over 23,000 chart sales, with 3,800 of those being on vinyl – “this week’s best-seller on wax”, the Official Charts note.”

Wow sold more than half as many in the UK than in the US. Has any GD album had such a good UK turnout?

Green Day have achieved their fourth number one album in the UK with their 13th record.

The US punk-rockers’ latest release, Father Of All…, has entered the charts at number one with just over 23,000 sales, the Official Charts Company said.

The band declared the UK “our valentine” after their success was announced.

They tweeted: “Thank you for the number one! From the bottom of our scummy hearts!”

The group, known for hits including Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life), have previously topped the charts with American Idiot (2004), 21st Century Breakdown (2009) and Revolution Radio (2016).

RevRad: 30,880 (first week)

Uno: 42,651 (first week)

So overall, sales are declining but it's still good to see them get a no. 1.

Quite interesting article discussing how album sales are dramatically declining, when comparing this record sales with previous eras this has to be considered:
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-46735093

Only between 2018 and 2019 these have declined of almost 10% (in the UK), in the last 10 years (in the US) of 80%.

This might not explain everything, but it really has to be taken into account.

Compare 2016 with what 2020 probably looks like, and this result in the UK is actually really good
