Forgot if it was here or reddit, but someone suggested they start in the middle of Basketcase where they left off in 2012.  I love that idea.

Never gonna happen, but that certainly would be one of the funniest things they would have ever done! It's not that easy to start off mid-song from cold though lol

By the way, I'm really scared about the audience being just as dead this time round. I still have the "stand up you lazy motherfuckerrrrrrrrs!" echoing in my head lmao

Same, but I'm hoping it'll be fine when the show doesn't suck. I'm a huge fan and I wouldn't be too hyped about the 2012 performance... the people who came to see something else had to be like "wtf".

After the announcement of the Hella Mega Tour, i’m pretty sure the crowd will be more alive, since they’ll remember “oh yeah, this band is alright, I’ll get up.”

I feel a little grounded by the fact that it's this abomination of a tour that's supposedly making Green Day look relevant, but you're probably right :P

I’ll take anything for the mainstream not to view them as just some old band. Seriously, fuck those people.

Here is the friday lineup. I'm going to guess this is NOT the order as it is alphabetical order...

Sept. 20 iHeartRadio Music Festival Day 1 (Tickets)
Backstreet Boys
Cage the Elephant
Camila Cabello
French Montana
Green Day
Halsey
Heart
Hootie & The Blowfish
Steve Aoki with Special Guest Darren Criss
Monsta X
Tim McGraw

It probably is because if you want to have someone close a show , you want that someone to be Tim McGraw..🤠🤠

Heart is playing? Wow awesome. Glad to see them have a bit of a revitalization so late in their career. Top 3 female musicians of all time for sure, and never used their bodies to sell records like most female musicians.

I'm gonna have to download the CW app to my apple tv tonight and make sure I can stream it in case I'm around and/or awake. My parents are coming to visit this weekend, so I don't think I'll be able to watch.

I’m scared the audience will do it deliberately just to see Billie melt down again. Just kidding....I think.

I really hope he does something to acknowledge when they were there in 2012, but he probably won’t lol

I could do something with this post - but I won't🤗

I don’t think he should

I think they should just play a really awesome, professional, kick-ass show that will speak for itself. I don't think it'd be wise to bring up 2012.

I cant believe how long ago that seems.

In some ways, but then I can hardly believe it’s been 7 years!  I well remember that I was Turkey with really poor WiFi and struggling to find out what had happened, it was a horrible time.  Looking forward to seeing them blast the other bands off the stage properly this time 😀

I heard a radio ad for the festival yesterday and it had a sound clip of Billie saying “maybe we’ll smash other people’s instruments this time” or something like that.

Heh, iheart using the drama for promotion... They must love it

Screw going out tomorrow night. Not only is my favorite streamer livestreaming, but I gotta watch iHeart for Cage the Elephant and Green Day!

Geez, I remember 2012 iHeart. I wasn't even watching because I had no idea they were on there. I think my mom called me and said hey Billie is freaking out. After that I looked up the clip on YouTube and skimmed through some of GDC and I thought he was just rating since I didn't see anything else from the performance. It's so weird to think that's already 7 freaking years ago.

So, I’m sure this has been asked to deaf already, but when whereabouts in local time (which is my local time -9 hours) are they probably going to take the stage?
