I agree, the cover art is intentional and serves a purpose. To me, it’s not particularly nuanced or vague either. Hey Warner, you kept asking for another AI- well here it is- shove it. 

Also, within my circles, a “mother effer” often means an outrageous prank, trick, or burn. I can see the title coming from one of the guys saying “let’s give Warner the father of all mother effers with this thing”.

The 26 minutes and a bunch of other signs point to a pretty direct FU to Warner as well. 

I think there’s a lot of not so subtle messaging at Warner here and the cover’s a big part of it. Just when I thought they had run out of ways to surprise us, well, they did it again!

Honestly I'm gonna be disappointed if these are all coincidences. Not at all because I didn't enjoy the song or think I won't like this album... Purely because of how great of a move this would be for them. It's genious (almost too good to be true).

My scepticism has nothing to do with whether I like the new stuff or not. It's just that I'm not buying that the boys are 100% behind the FOAMF thing, that is all. Their "what the hell, fuck it all"-attitude feels cynical and forced to me, it's like they're wearing masks, trying to play a role (and I'm not talking about their RevRad era masks). Of course I can't look inside their heads, and if this is really the direction they want to go now, they should. I just have a strong feeling there's more than one truth. Many tiny pieces are adding up.

The thing is that the MOOTIK cover and leaks could all be fake but still the theory could be true?

Like having a secret release later but just a different one than MOOTIK, I'll still will call it MOOTIK theory tho.

I see how MOOTIK could be fake, but the main thing that's keeping me convinced it's real is the painting artwork (allegedly) being confirmed to be an alternate for GFB. If that's true, then how was it leaked? It would've needed to be coming from an insider. I suppose it's not out of the question that they'd reuse alt artwork for something else later on down the line?

You could have Just admitted that the song sucked. Its not like The song is that horrendous, but its a shitty song to start the New era.  I dont believe that the users here did really dig FOAMF,  i Just refuse to believe it. The band that wrote bobd, bang bang, one of my lies, Little girl, heck even Oh love, could turn into shit. Just like that. They are my idols for sure, and its sad to see that they released such a dull tune with no solos and no emotions.

I was thinking that maybe GDC was sad because 'speculate time' over and they really really liked to speculate... A prove it's that Antecipation Thread Chapter 3 is already created just because we had a little Billie Joe's quote about a possibilite of new album, just like he did with Forever Now video, Otis remixes and more.

Agree with you, nothing experimental. It's just Dos with FHT and sounds like a jam session more than a song, it's the simplest thing to do for a band like Green Day. There is not a real effort even behind the structure like it's raw

Still there's no confirmation about the artwork being GFB related so easily everything could be fake,  BUT like I said, the theory could still be real, but with another album we don't know anything about.

When they have produced tracks like Jesus of Suburbia and Forever now. Obviously we haven't heard the whole album. But it does seem like this is a fun album and the serious stuff is yet to come?

It doesn’t sound anything like them? That’s called experimenting. My worse fear with this album is that it would sound like Rev Rad or Longshot, which would mean that Billie was in a songwriting rut. It couldn’t be more different and I really like that. You’re just stuck on the point that you don’t personally like this song without being able to see the bigger picture. And you might love the rest of the album. People just need to quit being so fatalistic about this one song. It’s an overreaction.

I wasn’t asking for you to try to reach this person, just trying to figure out how the original info was received. Can you recap that for those of us who weren’t paying attention at the time?
