I'm surprised the YouTube video has such a good Like/Dislike ratio considering how mixed the reaction has been pretty much everywhere. 31k likes to only 700 dislikes?

Edit: there were a lot of comments basically saying what the fuck is this earlier with hundreds of likes that are now gone🤔

- I don't liked this song. I was expecting something more mature.

- Not sound like Billie at all because have heavy effects.

- For me is something between rock and pop, it's not indie... but I think it's a bad pop. Maybe it's not so attractive for people who listen pop songs and rock, because don't fit in these styles.

I'm aware of what the comments are saying. Just commenting on how the like/dislike ratio doesn't relate to the reaction of the comments

It’s the only green day song I don’t like but I’m not gonna dislike the video, so maybe a lot of people just think the same way as me

I always find myself back here when Green Day put out new music, just to see what everyone's saying about it. I honestly think this song is TERRIBLE. Truly, truly terrible.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever told Billie that he overuses vocal filters and a lot of fans don't dig it, certainly it would have sounded better without those high-pitched and distorted vocal filters. He probably didn't draw conclusions from Trilogy.

Or he just does what he likes and doesn't worry about opionions, hmm

There is a post on the subreddit that is a screenshot of an ig story talking about how this album could just be a troll album to say fuck you to warner on their way out. Honestly thinking about it that could be the case

I'm pretty sure it's gonna sound better live, without the filters

Meanwhile I can't stop singing "I've got paranoia, baby!! and it's so hysteeericaal"

I do wonder how it'll sound live. I'm hoping it sounds better than the studio version.

For the large majority of GD (and Billie, in a large way) songs, I prefer the live version. Filters or not in the studio one. His live voice is just deep, wide, strong, perfect

I just keep thinking back to that cover... Like, what on god's green Earth were they thinking!?

They were thinking on god's not-so-green-earth-anymore that they were gonna be as green as the weed that gave them their band name :P I do find it a bit lazy to have reused part of the AI cover but laziness is part of the message I bet. and especially, not giving a fuck is part of it. I love the unicorn though

I like it, I don't know if it will end up being one of my favourites but time will tell.  I like that it's different and the guitars are awesome.

Eh.. this is defiantly a grower. Overall it’s catchy and fun. The bass is dope. Billie seemed to really love doing The LongShot so I’m not surprised we’re getting a “stripped down/ Rock & Roll”/ Trilogy- sounding vibe this era.

I do think the artwork is horrendous and I defiantly will not be spending much money on merch this time around. :P

Personally I’ll just be glad for this era to be over with I think so we can move onto their more frequent and hopefully independent releases

I hate that we must look forward to a live version cause the studio one sounds janky.. is this where we are now? I agree it may sound better live but I wish the studio version met any expectation I had.

Same...

This is the type of question I'm expecting from an interviewer. The rest doesn't matter that much.

They do must have some explanation 🤔

Is this kind of surreal to anyone else? Like it doesn't feel like an actual new green day era, don't get me wrong I love the song (hate the artwork though) but it feels like I'm waiting for the real album

You know it's bad when you're already saying "I'll be glad for this era to be over" at the VERY START of the era

I’m just really underwhelmed but I’m glad other people are enjoying it. I might get into it more after tonight’s show and further singles

I really do enjoy the track. It's so different, so I think it feels foreign to us and therefore we resent it. But it's still good imo.

Now the artwork and short album length? Not a fan at all. I hope they talk more about where the aesthetic comes from. It just seems like a joke.
