And he's said it multiple times now, in the Zane Low interview and the Kerrang interview. If he had just said it once I would've thought "hmm that's odd" and your whole 'not expressing himself right' thing would've been a fine explanation, but he's said it in 2 interviews already There were quite a few lines in that interview where I just had the feeling: This is so out of character. I still don't know how to feel, honestly. Fact is I've never been so confused at the start of a new Green Day era, and that's just a feeling I can't shake off. 2
Ross_19
A big announcement? What sort of announcements do they normally go to radio stations for? I mean, they've already said they might put out something before the tour.... Lol maybe the ultimate goodbye to Warner would be announcing another album that releases a week after FOAMF 1 1

I need to think about my money. My poor money that buy a FOAM vinyl that came with socks and a guitar strap.

Billie Joes Eyelids
Can someone clarify where the information came from that we’re getting a big announcement? I can’t keep up.

Popular Post Sixtrix
I think we should stop reading too much into things. This is the album they are going to release, nothing more. Billie Joe talking about releasing an album next year to me sounded more like they are not planning on having another 3-year wait in between this and the next album. It’s more about their freedom and free will of releasing songs and albums rather than a big master plan behind this new release and leaving Warner. But we'll see, I guess

Popular Post NotTrain
This just in: Green Day surprised by a resurgence in popularity of their album "Nimrod", sources say purchases have increased 500% over last year, and analysts are left stumped as to why. In a recent statement from the Department of Music Behaviour Centre in Dundee, Scotland, Head Researcher, Colin McThackery said: "I don't understand this. Nimrod by Green Day is a great album and all, but it seems like these purchases are mainly coming from fans who previously purchased a copy. We've seen that CD sales have been declining since 2009, yet somehow this one record has been up. It's an unprecedented move, and our analysis as to the causation of this draws a blank. It seems that people want multiple copies of Nimrod. I would say crazier things have happened, but honestly, they haven't. Apart from the cover art for Green Day's upcoming album. That's weird, man." 5

I also had the same thought. If it’s recorded while they are still with Warner it likely belongs to Warner. So even if they re-record and release it they there could be copyright issues, even though it’s their own work. Which would make the “fake leak” look very stupid. I’m just rambling here I don’t know the ins and outs of these things.
