Can you please give us more specific sources? Like a link or something?

If it was just said on the radio I doubt there's links yet.

This new announcement might be related to the 'Father of All...' music video if it's not about the album or tour.

It would be about the single and the music video. Saying it has nothing to do with the new album makes me think they don't have any more announcements about the album in general. They could still say something about the single and music video, which makes sense to me.

That big announcement had better be that they're actually bringing a rainbow-puking unicorn to all the shows.

Honestly I don't see what some people on here are on about. Yes, the 'album description' on Instagram was a bit weird and cringey but that's not unusal with our dear Billoboi lol. The fact that 'they don't talk about the album' is probably because it's the Hella Mega tour that they're supposed to promote right now, and the album isn't coming until February. Besides, it's just not true, we've gotten a fair bit of information on the album so far and it's been just 24 hours. The boys seem really happy in the interviews and at the show last night, yet some here imply that they hate the album they just made? Also we've only heard one fucking song! Sure, Billie said it was representative of the whole album but 1) it's a good song and 2) he said that about Bang Bang for Rev Rad too and he's known for his bs statements. Kind of like how he stated he hates long songs on Zane Lowe. Some of you read way too much in to that in my opinion. I often say I hate things when it's simply not true, it's just me being lazy with my words and not expressing myself properly. I think it's more likely to be a case of that than him 'not being himself anymore' or whatever. But I guess only he knows. As for this whole 'they totally hate Warner and just put out PURE SHIT to mess with them XD :PpPPPppPPpPp' thing.. Again, we've heard one song. One. The album cover is shit, I'll give you that, and they are obviously happy to get rid of Warner to go independent. I just find it extremely hard to believe they would put out something they can't get behind though. They care more about their fans than that. Maybe they saved some better songs for later to release on their own, but I just don't believe they put out FOAMF while not even liking it themselves just to be petty. The album only being 26 minutes long might be to keep as much material as possible to themselves, but at the same time the way Billie described the albums theme the shortness of it makes sense to me at least. Also them having 17 songs and only putting 10 on the album is not shocking, almost every era had more songs than got put out there.

I guess I can, to a certain degree, see why these theories and thoughts are had by quite a fair share of people though. The context of it all with them leaving Warner makes some things look 'suspicious' and I think being disappointed with what we've gotten so far only adds to it. These are just my thoughts on it right now, maybe I'll change my mind after reading the MOOTIK thread lol. Either way the theories are a fun read regardless what I think of them. What I love about what we've gotten so far is the mixed reactions and that there's so much to discuss!

Yes it can be.
I'm pretty sure it's a video clip announcement for Father Of All... and I think they will be dress like their cover pic on Facebook in the clip.

I think the meaning is right here in front us. Looking too deep into this, searching for conspiracy theories and various secrets is just gonna make it harder for you :P

Right now we have a fast, funny, straight to the point 26 minutes record, which according to the band interviews is gonna be one of the most innovative and crazy work they’ve recorded so far. There’s more to come soon? Maybe, but this do not contradict the fact that the band is enjoying this material and that this is what they want to put out now :)

And honestly every side project, experimentation, crazy choice they made in the last 15 years goes in this direction, so I don’t see any reason to believe this is a big “trolling attempt”. It’s provocative, which is different.

you could be wrong.

The MOOTIK theory is not really about them "trolling the fans" or releasing something they don't enjoy, I believe that if the theory is real, that explains the odd choices and manners of the album, but definitely the album is going to rock our socks off either way.

I still think him saying "I hate long songs" is odd for him. And he's said it multiple times now, in the Zane Low interview and the Kerrang interview. If he had just said it once I would've thought "hmm that's odd" and your whole 'not expressing himself right' thing would've been a fine explanation, but he's said it in 2 interviews already

Huh, I haven't read the Kerrang interview yet so I didn't know. I still think it's just him expressing himself poorly though, but I can better understand the reaction from some of you guys if he's said it twice.

It is a weird for him to say, but he could've just changed his mind about long songs. Or he could just be on a short song kick because that's what he's into and then when the next album rolls around he'll say I love long songs! It's weird, but I'm not putting too much stock into the statement.

I think that if you have many planned interviews, you also build a baseline script. And I think this should be taken in the context of GD promoting the idea of fast short tracks for a fast short album. It’s what they wanted to do now and they are explaining why in their weird way of explaining things, he played JoS after pronouncing those words. He doesn’t hate his 5+ minutes songs, he just doesn’t want to make a new one now, this is is his musical taste atm, I don’t see it as weird thing with a bit of interpretation.

Alt 98.7 clarified that the new announcement is NOT about the new album or the tour. Interesting.
