I still doubt GD would put out bad music on purpose. They don't seem like that kind of band.

Alright tell me what a good new green day song sounds like then... I'll wait

I'll still go to the Wrigley show (seriously, why do they keep making me going to Wrigley?), but fear it's just going to be greatest hits there.  Also, I kind of wince that they played it themselves in 2017, and now have two other big bands with them.  I know it wasn't totally full (but not by much), but it makes it looks like they need them there.

Yeah I probably wouldn't go if prices were too high. I just honestly don't like Wrigley as a venue. And that's my worry too. I'll pay a high price and see 3 bands I don't care about to get a greatest hits show. If they were on their own, a greatest hits thing would be fine. But they gotta give me something more to pay for this.

We’re gonna teabag all these mother fuckers. -- Billie

they're definitely trolling the record label!!

it reminds me of Jay's rant in jay and silent bob strike back...

'All you motherfuckers are gonna pay! You are the ones who are the ball-lickers! We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little, whiny bitches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who is making the movie, we're gonna make them eat our shit, then shit out our shit, and then eat their shit that's made up of our shit that we made them eat. Then all you motherfucks are next. Love, Jay and Silent Bob.'

I think a lot of people (myself included) think this could still be a thing. If Father of All is just to fulfill contract obligations and they're not happy with Warner for whatever reason, it could very well be that they're releasing an album of just messing around under that contract, and saving their next masterpiece for themselves. Here's hoping.

Maybe Warner thought the original magnum opus was too weird and wouldn't release it

Yeah that IG post is amazing, Billie is hilarious...

Guys, he's already talking about releasing new music after this, so I wouldn't panic about it being short. They've probably just thrashed out a short, fast, fun record to say bye to warner, lets enjoy it with them!

Guys doesn't it seem strange to you this kind of promotion?

Both FOB and Weezer released new singles with videos, Green Day didn't.

It's strange to me considering that a music video performs very well usually on the first day expecially in this case where they are doing some sort of joined announce where they tag each other would be great advertising.

Weirdly enough the length of the album doesn't bother me. I've heard plenty of stellar albums that are 25 minutes or under. I actually like that it's only 10 songs, maybe it'll cut down on filler.

It's all so bad that I hope it's bad-on-puroose-bad but still... I don't know. I'm really hoping this Magnum Opus theory pans out because if this is all the Green Day we're getting for the next 3-4 years, yikes. 26 minute album? I don't get it.

One Warner Music and Warner Bros are different run companies Warner Music is Access Industries

Two Charlie Sheen issues are with Chuck Lorre Productions which Warner doesn’t control

Charlie Sheen also went off on Warner as well in several interviews. Specifically after going after Chuck Lorre in the public.

Warner Bros owns Reprise Records so while they may claim they run as separate entities they are still the same parent company

To qualify as an album it must be over 25 mins.
