And then in another interview said "My favorite song is JoS." So yeah, I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into what they're saying in interviews. Not that they're lying, but they don't take most of them seriously To be fair, the context of that statement is often missed. He was saying these days he doesn’t have the attention span to listen to any long songs so he wanted to write short ones thinking others feel the same. It doesn’t mean he now dislikes every long song he ever wrote in past times. They are just not songs for today. That’s what he said. 1
The Grohl
I've actually avoided reviews aside from a few ratings. I wanted to go in with little expectations and I wanted to fully form my own opinion before reading what others had to say. 8 minutes ago, pacejunkie punk said: To be fair, the context of that statement is often missed. No I figured that's what he's talking about but the way it came out was still pretty funny 😂

GDFan2019
Remember how we thought they were pulling a Frank Ocean troll album with FOAM and now they have Tré as that Frank Storm character in the Oh Yeah video and his own IG account! Now, obviously Tré’s real name is Frank but idk it seems more than just a coincidence to me. And obviously, FOAM turned out to be a great album, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!!!

Jirachi
Iv'e never been more mad after watching a review than i was seeing Needledrop give FOAM a 0/10 for not having a single even half tolerable second in the whole thing xD But yeh after a few more listens i upgraded my thoughts from "its ok" to "its pretty good". And im glad its doing well stream/sale wise

Billie Joes Eyelids
So are they done with promo until the tour starts March 8? And when that happens I’m guessing a lot of it will be with Weezer and FOB.

I don’t know why they haven’t done NY promo yet
The Grohl
Hopefully they'll appear on Kimmel or The Tonight Show. It would be weird if they crammed all this promotion for a weekend and then went silent until the tour. But seeing as that's what happened after they announced the album, it seems to be Crush's style.

And im glad its doing well stream/sale wise Most of the reviews don't bother me but this one did. Maybe because it's so opposite to how I feel. Most of reddit (GD sub) agree with it. Idk...Fantano makes some points that have truth to them. But he also didn't really give examples of his points, seemed to hate the album from the first single, and has always hated GD (hates AI and hated Dookie until going back on it later). I did kind of see his point of this album being retreads of sounds that didn't work for other bands in the early 2000s. But I actually like this change of pace and it doesn't feel stale or dated. And it still sounds like GD. This man also loves MCR but hates Green Day? Odd.

Cameron.
I love the band to death and always will but I think the Anthony's Fantano's review of this is very much on point. While I enjoy a few songs on this thing a fair amount, this record does not feel like or sound like Green Day - even Uno, Dos, and Tre still felt like the band although they weren't that great. If I wasn't such a huge fan I wouldn't be able to tell you this is a Green Day record based on just listening to it. I don't mind them heading into new territory or trying new things, in fact I encourage it - but this feels really forced and stale. It really just feels a like a tribute to music of that time, rather than putting their own Green Day spin on it. You know? If ya'll are loving it, power to you! It's a loud, fun and short record. I'm grateful for the length. I really love the title track and Stab You In The Heart, I just know they can do way better than this! And I'm still pumped for the Hella Mega tour - I bet some of these songs sound way better live - it's sounding really overproduced at times

Father of All...is textbook Green Day with different vocals. FRA is an easy-A GD song, albeit not good. I Was a Teenage Teenager is a classic Green Day chorus. Stab You in the Heart uses the same riff as 2 previous GD songs, and the melody is very GD. Sugar Youth is classic GD riff, verse, and chorus with vocal effects. Take the Money and Crawl is a classic Green Day chorus and verse. Graffitia is straight off of 21CB or RevRad even in terms of melody. This album is a base of Green Day with little changes throughout and maybe 2 songs that sound a bit out of their zone.

billiesblue
okay I actually like Ariana but wow her fan base acting out like this is embarrassing 🙄 As soon as I read what Billie said about her, which wasn't horrible, I knew he was gonna get it 😅 These days fan bases take any small negative comments of their favorite band or artist way too seriously and completely lash out. I'll never understand why it's so hard for them to just ignore and move on.
