that's all production though

songwriting is a different critique altogether

Production is for me a make or break it situation

Sad

I bought It late, Jan 28

Don't know when It will be sent

was it the limited edition that you got?

I also like how Warner targets the two sitcom heroes.

without having to turn the volume up and down every 10 secs like RevRad

I think I must be the only one who downright loved that aspect of RevRad lmao

Nah, unless you can't even tell what's going on, it doesn't matter to me. There is so little good musicianship in music that is produced perfectly now, I'd rather listen to lo-fi stuff that actually shows off good musicianship and songwriting

Got my vinyl today, I need to let this album sink in, but I do initially wish it was longer. It feels like a party that ends before it gets started.

I literally just got it cause it didn't censor Motherfuckers. I'm an AC milan fan and when Tre revealed the vinyl I flipped.

Not true, I loved the trilogy when most hated it. At least there’s some proper hooks on the trilogy, there’s nothing memorable here, they may not have set out to dominate the world but I expect a little more from them given previous efforts. I want to be wrong but nothing grabbed me with this. I look forward to the live show but that’s about it for this album cycle.

i don't understand your point. i liked the trilogy. i always loved green day and still will. i just don't understand why they put out this album.

It's okay my dudes, I was just joking about you 2, you can dislike it.

Nope, I liked it too.  With Bang Bang, it was a punch in the face, which it was supposed to be.  With Outlaws, it was part of the mood.  I've never understood the dislike for it.

My favorite part of "Meet me on the Roof" is when Billie sings "Don't wake me up, don't wake me up!"

But now I'm looking it up and the lyric sites say "Don't leave me up, don't leave me up".

Is Billie a toilet seat or what?   My path don't follow.

This song is now on youtube, for anyone who hasn't heard it yet.

I’m obviously in the minority that think it’s awful I guess. I’m not asking people to agree with me, I’m just surprised that people have lowered their standards.

Not at all mate, I haven't lowered anything.

I just don't have a certain expectation for this band anymore, I just go deep into every new record with an open mind and so far I've enjoyed every record they have released, there's always something (or lots of stuff) enjoyable.

Any One else Theorizing that "Graffitia " and "Gabriella" might be related, like a revision of an old track. Both songs have nine letters in the name so, Who knows, just blindly guessing on soft proof.

For some reason when listening to "Oh Yeah", I start singing the lyrics "the stems and seeds of the last of the dope".    It KIND of fits, and even rhymes.

"Oh Yeah" is "Homecoming 3"

We haven't heard "Homecoming 2" yet.
