Really good catch and comparison on that. 3 hours ago, ImNotInGreenDaydummy said: if the next album was all drop d that would be a good time full C# tuning

I've been hearing this argument time and time again and how is so "cringey" that older musicians write about these kind of stuff. So we can't write about stuff that we are not longer doing even though we did experience it? Like they haven't been rockstars in the 90's....

LOL Though the melody in Fuck Time seems to be a bit more original than this... Stab You entirely rips off Hippy Hippy Shakes to a degree where I'm amazed they even recorded it like this. It's been a while since they've been sued though, so...... I know exactly what you're saying, I thought the same thing. Im sure it's been used in heaps more songs though, but I cant be bothered finding them We studied this exact same progression in high school but this was 23 years ago so I cant remember now

The quality is perfectly listenable and there's nothing wrong in doing so if you're gonna buy the album, buy merch or going to gig anyways.
Doggins
I am genuinely surprised that this album is getting so much praise. Is it because y'all expectations were so low? I don't mean to be a hater, I just prefer Green Day sounding like Green Day. I loved the Longshot release, I think this would've been more suited to that - or another side project. Its not like I want a Dookie v2 or anything (well actually, an Insomniac 2 would be great thanks if you're reading this boys) "I just want Green Day that tastes like real Green Day"

I think it's best to think of it as an extension to the trilogy with better production.
Popular Post pouty bitch
Meet Me on the Roof is groovy as fuck from start to finish, I love it even more the more I listen to it. There's something so satisfying about going from a decent but fairly chilled song like Oh Yeah, straight into the party vibe of MMOTR. It never fails to lift my mood. 6

Train27
This album is insane. I give them so much credit for “killing it” and having fun! I just want to say that if anyone hates this album then, fuck you, you’re not a Green Day fan (sorry, but not sorry) they changed their sound a LITTLE BIT for the greater good. I will always love them, and this album proves that for me. 2

That Dude
Ranking this album. This will be painful... FOAM beats my bottom five, so it's at least my 8th favorite record. And as fantastic as it is, there's no way it will overtake my top three picks. Those three are forever. Which means it's got to do battle with Revolution Radio, Dookie, Tre and Uno. It beats Tre and Uno - "barely scraping by." So it's down to Dookie and Revolution Radio. Hmmm. Those two are near-ties. At this moment in time, I'm going to say Father of All... will probably sit at my..... Number Six Spot. Not sure if this one could topple Dookie, but I do feel it's material is stronger than the Trilogy. Anyone have this EXACT same lineup? 1.American Idiot 2.Warning 3.Nimrod 4.Revolution Radio 5.Dookie 6.Tre 7.Uno 8.Dos 9.21st Century Breakdown 10.Insomniac 11.1039 Smoothed 12.Kerplunk
