realDonaldTrump
sorry i brought up politics. i’m a hypocrite too and i’m not perfect. i just don’t have the power to bring change like them on a level that’s more than personal. i don’t hate anyone for being liberal either, atleast not the common man/woman. Sorry if i seem insulting. but i still want to slap a big fat infowars sticker on cole becker’s guitar. edit: i didn’t bring up politics but i fueled the fire 1

I honestly have don’t have a lot of excitement for the album for the reason of him not sounding like himself and the blatant Butch Walker pussy rock and roll sound mixed with Green Day’s signature sound. 1

I actually envisioned the song sounding just like You Really Got Me, but with a modern Green Day twist.. and that would be awesome! It would definitely coincide with the vibe of the first two tracks! If this is Billie who’s singing idk why you’re saying he does not sound like himself. I understand you don’t like this era but Green Day are just evolving (in a bad or good way it depends of everyone). American Idiot and 21st century Breakdown are far behind us, this time has ended, now it's time to moving forward.

His vocal is strangely modified and that's it. 1

I guess we're saying "he doesn't sound like him" because we aren't used to this kind of vocal range Father of all isn't the only "different" Green Day song. Let's think about The Forgotten for example. Even if it's a ballad, Billie's voice is still immediately recognizable Btw, I agree with you. It's totally fine moving forward and it's totally fine saying "I like this/I don't like that" 3 minutes ago, greenalert997x said: He obviously doesn't sound like himself. The thing is, it doesn’t really feel that way, at least for some of us. More like a trip straight back to 2012. So far this era offers nothing fresh or new for me. We had the party-yolo-mode back then, we actually had it so much that I’m sick of it for the rest of my life I guess. I had kind of hoped they’d come up with something new for a change. If FOAM is their way of moving on, I’d rather stay where I already am. Just my opinion so far, maybe after listening to the whole album I’ll change my mind, we’ll see.

It feels like they are trying for "past glory". The title, the song titles, the market they are going for seems very childish to me. I know alot of people didn't like Revrad (I do), but Revrad felt to me like them being themselves, being very open and honest. This feels like they are trying to be kids again.

I think they’re just trying to do music without pressure and just have fun, this is not a bad thing imo.

Good for them we don't really mind how they do their business and how they enjoy being in a band together, we're judging the music that comes out of it. Nobody here wants the guys to be miserable.

Thanks, Green Day!
Popular Post Verycool99
From the playboy interview. Billie “I wanted to write a song about what it’s like to grow up as a normal average guy.” Im 100% counting this as our alt timeline version of “Average Working Man” from that awful 4Chan leak 1
Beerjeezus
Honestly I'd be more interested in Billie writing a song about what it's like to be a rich-ass motherfucker chilling on the beach with his ratter dog. He seems to draw inspiration from the past which isn't bad per se, but he's been doing it for quite a while now.
