“Are you ready?” implies something is imminent. Granted, that’s a relative term, but by the common usage, there is not anything imminent.

I’m confused by this statement after the indication that there is a single imminent.

Yeah I was thinking maybe that was actually the cover art for the single. And knowing the history of worldwide Green Day releases, there’s probably going to be bonus tracks exclusively in Japan

Japan got 'bang bang', from whisky a go go show as a bonus track

Yeah well if the IG account being private is actually connected to the single release it would be weird to do that three weeks in advance... dunno, my hopes for this week are weak 😕

I'm still going with the 17th, but tbh I'd prefer if FOAM got Cigarette and Valentined so we could move on to something else

Remember the White Bull pic from July 19's Instagram post? Did anyone decode the connection to FOAM with that?

I’m thinking it was only because it was hanging in Butch’s studio and they thought it looked cool.

Maybe it was their way of confirming that "Yeah, we're working with Butch Walker...but your anticipated July 19th release is bullshit"

Agreed, honestly. I used to admire this guy. Look up to him. Now he's just some Twitter-ranting socialist lacks the self-awareness to realize he benefited from capitalism that he so hates. And the obsession with reliving his younger years in songs and the lazy songwriting overall...bleh. I probably wouldn't have liked GD if I was young and finding them now.

that whole group of people in the east bay is super delusional, there must be a fluoride dump near by. cole becker and max becker hate everything that they are; white, rich, products of nepotism. Nothing they say can be taken with any sort of seriousness.

cole becker: LADIES IF SOMEONE IN THE CROWD RAPES YOU, PUNCH THEM IN THE FUCKING FACE BECAUSE FUCK TRUMP

dude said shit like that the entire show, shit starts to seem like projection after a certain point.

next time they’re in my city i’m slapping an Infowars sticker on his guitar. You heard it here first.

As opposed to the totally based-in-reality crowd who think that Trump is honest, cares about anyone but the top 1%, and isn’t hiding anything regarding Russia? Oh and isn’t allowing any witnesses in his impeachment trial for really valid reason? Yeah those folks really know what’s up.

never said that. i’m a broke college kid so my opinion is worthless. i’m speaking on the upper class’s hypocrisy.

i only bring up trump because if you’re a musician and that’s all you can talk about, you’re a fool.

Uh didn't BJA specifically say that he wasn't going to write anything specifically about Trump? And he said that way back in 2016 and seems to have stuck to that so...

@DookieLukie I remember another interview circa RevRad where someone asked him if he had any solutions, and he responded that he doesn't really know, so imo I don't think it's fair to say that he claims to have the answer, as he didn't. He also said in I think a 21CB interview that sometimes he feels like he's not qualified to write about his political opinions/topical content, but I think that it's important that he does it. Idk. Everyone gets pissed off over politics, that's a given. It's literally a bunch of opinions on how to run things. Obviously everyone has a different idea.

He said that trump gets so much attention that he didnt want Revrad to give trump the satisfaction of "being a trump record." Of course he'll go off about trump onstage, etc, because it's something he feels strongly about, obviously. But he was trying to play it off in what I see as a more mature way (oh, out come the wolves) in the beginning which i personally think is cool because it shows how genuine it is. Idk how to word this properly. Passion and strong opinions, no matter what those in question support, are really interesting things.

This issue with Hollywood is that they are convinced they are right. Politics and culture are too macro of topics for humans to understand. It's 90% opinion. To act like your opinion is fact is self-righteous. Especially when folks in Hollywood have no congruence in how they preach and speak. Politics are largely guestimates, so I don't trust politicians or anyone (especially rich celebrities who never went to school) who says they have the answer that no one in human history has had.

Extremism is extremism.  Whether it's far left or far right they use much of the same tactics and speak the same language and neither said knows how to listen.

I don't even disagree about the fact that there's an element of hypocrisy in rich people's activism, but the way you're making this point is just ridiculous imo. The Beckers might as well be dumb rich kids, but that doesn't make Infowars any less irrelevant.

Not sure what the discussion is here as I haven't read back but I'll just say it's something that's never crossed my mind when writing lyrics over the past 4 years. First off I'm not an American and second off Trump's fuel is the attention. He has enough I don't owe him any of mine. I have lyrics that are relevant to his kind but they were written well before his presidency and are not targeted towards him or any specific person.

I've written about far left in the past 2-3 years because that seems to be a more relevant topic locally and specific to my generation. There's a ton of far left entitlement not that there's no far right entitlement issues. I think I'm exhausted of hearing people who started at the start line with me complain about impossible finish lines while they haven't stepped off the start line yet. Spinning yourself in a circle is stylish today I guess?

They always try and claim populism is a right wing tactic but left wing people have populist ideas until it's time to collect a tip. They will squeeze the average person to pay them regardless of the result or level of service but not question why the corporation isn't paying them and how it's legal not to. They think they're making a difference yet their actions play straight into the game.

Most extreme liberalism in the US is comprised of people seeking personal revenge and calling it "helping others."

So artists should not express their opinion if they have one? When we talk about issues like racism, fascism, social injustice and so on, I do think there is right and wrong. That’s my opinion and political stand. If someone is a racist, a fascist or an homophobe he/she is also an asshole and an idiot, and that’s a fact to me. And GD/Billie mainly touch upon this kind of topics, or even more general topics such as social anxiety and anger towards certain conditions, they’re not trying to teach you how a Marxist economy would perfectly fit the USA. So I really don’t see the issue.

Express your opinions as you please. But they act like they are the expert and have the magic answers. That's what I don't like, especially when they oppose all modern science and professional opinions to support their agenda.

When is that GD opposed modern science and professional opinions to support their agenda?
