Feel like there was some excitement amongst people for RevRad though? I’ve not heard or seen much said about FOAM over here or on any social media other than when it was initially announced

Rev Rad was released though when that excitement was happening. We're still a month and a few days away. Let's see what happens in that time.

Listen to Tame Impala. It’ll make you chill and lessen your stress levels.

I mean, seeing as 99 Revolutions was centered on an actual movement, I think that gives it a lot more depth than FRA right from the get go. (of course, whether or not it really is his 'best writing' is an opinion that's completely subjective :P

And let's be honest, if BJA's lyrics were as blunt/finger-pointing/specifically critical/etc as something like the Dead Kennedys, people would complain even more than they do about the songs/lines that are vague and open to interpretation on a huge scale... imo I think that's part of the beauty of a line like "We live in troubled times" because it could mean extremely different things to everybody and still strike a deep chord close to home, y'know? From this perspective, it may be slightly arguable that KYE has deeper lyrical creativity than FRA, even.

Like the chorus of FOAM--I mean the lyrics--whether it was written in 5 seconds or 5 weeks, it hits me every time on a personal scale with its relatability, if you will. Idk. There's a red line under "relatability" so either I spelled that wrong or it's not a word, 😅

As a songwriter I can say your approach to each song can change. Sometimes you want to go deep into something and other times you may want to scratch the surface. Sometimes you want to go deep but you may feel like you're overdoing it. That's why I felt like Uno as a standalone album was a perfect next step from 21cb. There were some moments lyrically I felt were quite weak but some of the most simple moments were presented well.

It gets harder as you get older cause now people are judging your age and you already have such a huge background of other lyrics. Do you repeat yourself? Do you get more deep to the point where it's not effective anymore? One person can only have so many experiences to write about. I don't know what it will be like in 20 years when I'm Billie's age and possibly have another 100 songs behind me. I can't imagine what that's like at GD's level.

For me I've been more observant and I may write about something in someone else's life or I see a really cool painting that's inspiring I'll bring it to life musically and lyrically.

Yeah we'll almost certainly get a single before the albums released.

Honestly nothing is guaranteed this era in my opinion. But I’m noting that other artists with a similar album release date are putting out singles faster than GD and I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t put out one more. Would the label  or Crush really be that stupid?

Well it would have been worst if Green Day had signed a partnership with Soccer. Probably the worst sport on the planet.

Maybe they have more songs on their albums?  I am really torn, I want a new single and I want it to be awesome but I don’t usually like hearing too much ahead of release day.

Nope

I thought it was part of the NHL deal to premiere future singles, but maybe they just agree to play and promote them after they premiere?

GD and the NHL apparently have a "2 year partnership" where the NHL is gonna feature "songs from Green Day's new album" in NHL game highlights, broadcasts and the screens in the stadiums etc. By songs from GD's new album I wonder if they only mean FRA or other songs to? How binding is this partnership?

Also, "the partnership includes performances, appearances and other collaborations."

Prepare for GD hockey merch i guess

It mentions Bratwurst so that's good news!

Also the biggest so probably would’ve helped them get a bit of hype
