The second half of foamf is the best part. I think meet me on the roof and I was a teenage teenager are the weakest tracks. Overall I can't stop listening to it, I think this could've fit on the trilogy, kinda wished it would have had another 2 songs.

I'm sorry, that's a terrible joke.
But my honest opinion is that everyone can have their own opinion about the new album and music in general.
I think it's great that there seem to be two/three parties going on here. One saying they fucking love the new album and the other saying they don't like it at all.
And some are in the middle, which is great too.

Gotta love how music can be diverse and generates different opinions.

I kept feeling really bad for listening to the record ripped like this.
Then I remembered how I felt in love with AI and GD: downloading a totally illegal copy of the record from Gnutella (geez I feel old now). The thing is that it ended up being a corrupted file including only a poor quality version of AI, Holiday, Homecoming and Whatshername. Since I downloaded it 15 minutes before leaving for a 2 weeks motorhome on the road holiday with my parents (wifi and 4G were not really a thing in 2004 ), for two weeks I only listened to those songs on repeat, with an iPod and shitty EarPods. After a week I actually bought the CD in a Slovakian shopping centre, but since the motorhome didn't have a CD player and my parents didn't allow me to buy one of those portable CD players (I mean I had an iPod, how can you blame them, but I was fucking pissed at the time 😂), I had to wait another week to actually listen to the whole thing. I still have that corrupted file somewhere in one of my HDDs  

Considering how much I loved the real record afterwards, and how much money I ended up giving to these guys, they should not be too mad at me and I'm bot feeling guilty anymore

I believe that music is subjective and can't be judged in an exact way, but... I just don't see what's not to like. I mean, at least for fans, I'd say that if you like Green Day there's no reason to dislike FOAM. There's a bit of experimentation, their classic sound, The Rev makes a guest appearance doing vocals in Stab You In The Heart, Billie showing vocal skills we had no idea he had (not too common to happen 30 years into their career). To say something on the negative side, I'm not so sure She's A Rebel needed to appear on yet another GD record, but I can live with that. I honestly can't think of a reason not to like this album.

It's time for Tre and Mike to have their own songs again. I love Billie, but I love it even more when we get a special Mike or Tre song.. it just occurred to me that we haven't had that in 7 years, and that was one line from Tre (album), the last actual full song sung by one of them was probably Governater in the AI era, correct me if I am wrong but holy crap that would make it like 16 years ago.

I bought mine back in October and yeah I listened to the tracks but I already gave them my money 
I would feel gulity to share the tracks earlier. I mean, being the first one to record them/share them

Yeah, I get it, but imo FOAM has almost all the bases covered except for the rock opera stuff (even though Graffitia might help with those cravings).

For me the songs/portion of songs sung by Tre and Mike are fun moments/easter eggs, but those guys are monsters with their instruments, not the lead vocals. Not sure this record could have had room for that, while I think it really values their best musician skills. Mike's bass lines in these songs are orgasmic. 
I would not dislike at all having some of that in the extra 7 songs tho.

3 songs that suck ass, Oh Yeah, Teenage Teenager, and Meet me on the Roof. 4 songs that are mediocre, FOA, FRA, Sugar Youth and Junkies on a High. And 3 songs that are good. Graffitia, Take the Money and Crawl, and Stab You in the Heart. Honestly. This is just flat out disappointing

So, after a couple of listens, I decided to rate each song aswell, but listening to it as if I weren't a Green Day fan;
Just me, driving down the road, switching radio channels, and stumbling upon the song.
It's a fairly critical review. and a long one.  Ratings above, in the Spoiler tag my reasoning and opinion.

Again, it's just MY opinion, which others can relate to or don't. Just keep it civilized.

Father of All- 7.5/10
Good opener. Weird choice to open with high vocals, and Billie Joe doesn't quite pull it off. Rest of the song is solid, and the bass does some gnarly stuff! There are a LOT of vocal tracks mixed in together. Billie Joe is all over the place. Great vibe. Tambourine reminds me of Foxboro, but not too much. 

Fire Ready Aim- 6.5/10
Maybe I'm biased as I've first discovered this song with the sport-video clip thingy. It's a pumped up song, but nothing to keep me listening to it for more than 2 minutes. Usually the clap-thingy adds to a song, here I just find it too much of a cliche. Catchy chorus, and when you listen to it again, listen to the piano underneath. It adds to it, you can't imagine.

Oh Yeah- 6.5/10
In the total track list I kind of have a feeling this song doesn't stand out too much. I do like some of the effects they use, and the melody on "Everybody is a star" is a very nice touch. But, over all, when listening to the entire album, I couldn't help but think "Oh Yeah, this song is on there as well".

Meet Me on the Roof- 8/10
Very dance-able. But Billie Joe, dude, you've got your balls in a vice grip or something? Not every song needs a high-squeaked echo. I know you wanted to catch the 70's glam rock meets disco-era, but still. Very catchy chorus. Even more catchy chorus when it goes instrumental, with only the "Aha ah" backings. Bass line does something refreshing last chorus.

I Was a Teenager Teenager- 6/10
Depends on my mood, I think. Really tight song, with meaningful lyrics that resonate. But not vibing it that much.

Stab You In the Heart- 8/10
Yes, famous riff, blah-dy-blah. Doesn't matter, it's catchy, it has something new to it. It sounds heavy, pretty low tones, which I like. They use synth sounds, usually in transitions of riffs. I like that. It adds, it doesn't take away (maybe an old sample from the Network Era?). The ending reminds me of Hitchin' a Ride.

Sugar Youth- 8.5/10
Very catchy: Minor scale in the verses, major scale in the chorus. Music builds towards the chorus, very scream-along friendly!
"And it's dangerous". She's a Rebel-reference!

Junkies on High- 7.5/10 
Melody of the lyrics are very good, resolves in the second sentence, which leaves you wanting more.
Very rounded pre-chorus, of which you think it's actually the chorus. And when the chorus does kick in, you actually want to see the world burn.
The bass and drums are a total Nightlife-reference!

Take the Money and Crawl- 6.5/10
I really like the intro. It's something completely different, but matches the song.
Honestly, I think this is one of the only songs on the record where you can really hear Billie Joe's singing techniques. How well controlled his voice can be.
It's a little bit "average", when switching radio channels I'm more likely to skip this one. High Foxboro qualities.

That said, very story driven, it's a theme Billie Joe likes to sing about, but it still sounds fresh. They apply a couple "pop song" tricks (tambourine, typical bass riff that goes up, only to resolve downwards), but they blend this with a (detuned!) honky tonk and a singalong chorus. This song will do wonders live. I do have a bit of a problem with the fade-out. I think this song could've done the album more justice with an ending on a 3rd beat and full stop. Now I kind of see them drifting off in the distance on a boat.

YES!!!!! You beat me to it! It does remind me of Outlaws too and I like Outlaws, even though it's kind of mushy.

Graffitia is so beautiful, I'd be almost compelled to bitch about how I'm getting emotional over Green Day taking a Clash melody but then the fade out comes and it's like yeah, I give up this is a Clash song
