That Dude
How do we know this isn't Panicland tricking us again? Those dirty rotten bastards. And google doesn't know what Graffitia is. Sounds like part of a concept album that I want to hear!

I just want to say that if anyone hates this album then, fuck you, you’re not a Green Day fan (sorry, but not sorry) they changed their sound a LITTLE BIT for the greater good. I will always love them, and this album proves that for me. Im sorry but a Green Day fan can still be a Green Day fan for thinking an average album is average. Green Day have done some quality shit in the past and if compared to that, this just isn't going to do it for some people.

Is it because y'all expectations were so low? I don't mean to be a hater, I just prefer Green Day sounding like Green Day. I loved the Longshot release, I think this would've been more suited to that - or another side project. Its not like I want a Dookie v2 or anything (well actually, an Insomniac 2 would be great thanks if you're reading this boys) "I just want Green Day to taste like real Green Day" HAHAHA YES 1

Nah, fuck you. I've actually got high expectations on this band because I KNOW that they can do better. Redundantuserjinxboy
Just because someone doesn't like this new album doesn't mean they arnt a true fan. Being a fan doesn't mean mindlessly consuming whatever an artist puts in front of you, and I'm saying this as someone who throughly enjoys FOAMF 19 minutes ago, localinsomniac said: Don't know if anyone's already said this, but Teenage Teenager gives me such AI vibes It gives me Pixies vibes. 2

KGLWW
It confuses me how people can't enjoy the 2nd half of this album if you like the 2nd half of AI or some of the deeper cuts on 21CB. Every band starts to decrease in quality over time. I think the strongest songs are still really good, but maybe the thematics kinda get lost in the shuffle. That's what I actually think is better about this album though. That's probably why I think it's a little better than Rev Rad. It's a really stupid notion that people actually blindly support everything their favorite artists do. Maybe it's just because they like it. That's usually how it works. I think you like a band more if you like all their stuff. It means your loyal and means you've probably listened to the older stuff more and thus crave new music by the band. I mean it's not like it's a completely different genre and every song is obviously fake
gd86arg
For me Graffitia is similar to other 80s song, maybe some by The Clash 🤔
Redundantuserjinxboy
Is the general reception as good, equal to, or worse than revrad when it came out?

Probably a little worse at this point but at the same time the first day it leaked everyone disliked Rev Rad. Well RevRad has Youngblood😋 For me it was RevRad - Bang Bang is one of my favs & when I first listened & heard Somewhere Now was linked to Forever Now - I just played those 2 songs on loop for hours. I was going to comment and say “Graffitia is a song by the clash” lol. Definitely some clear London Calling influence on this album. The intro to Take the Money reminds me of the intro to Jimmy Jazz too
Fredes
Graffitia is totally The Clash, especially in the chorus. Probably that's why it's the only that is any close to being "good". Yeah, sorry, did not like this. I will give it more listens for the upcoming week, I guess, maybe it'll grow on me. But really, most of this is pretty much uninteresting "Garage Rock Revival" revival, with some very cringe worthy lyrics in some places. Meet Me On The Roof maybe it's a decent song, but it would be better without those annoying high-pitched vocals. I liked some bits of Sugar Youth too, musically speaking. It's like BJ remembered that at some time he was great at making melodies, but it still felt very undercooked. GD albums ranking (it may change eventually): 1. Kerplunk 2. Warning 3. Dookie 4. Insomniac 5. Nimrod 6. American Idiot 7. 39/Smooth 8. 21stCB 9. RevRad 10. Tre 11. Uno 12. FOAM 13. I also love Warning, but can I ask what you see in Revolution Radio that makes it better than Dookie Insomniac? Dookie and Insomniac have always been #2 and #3 for me.
Doggins
I know this is FOAMF discussion but while everyone else is doing it! Here is mine at the moment. FOAMF may move up after I hear the actual version - we'll see! 😂 1. Insomniac 2. American Idiot 3. Kerplunk 4. Dookie 5. SOSH 6. Nimrod 7. Uno 8. RevRad 9. 21CBD 10. Warning 11. Tre 12. Dos 13. FOAMF above is my personal preference. If I was to think actually what is their critically acclaimed, actual best word it would be more like: AI, Dookie, 21CBD, Warning, Nimrod, Insonmiac, yada yada yada

Otis Big
Insomniac and 21st Century Breakdown are tied for first in my opinion. VERY closely followed by American Idiot. (To the point where I can’t tell the difference) also love the trilogy, Kerplunk, Warning, and 39’ a lot. Rev Rad is really good too. Dookie and Nimrod are full of classics.
