But the problem to me is that I can't find a single song I could immediately fall in love with, a song that would stuck in my head for a long time.

I agree with this.  There's no standout that I feel the need to revisit.  All the songs are enjoyable, but there's no wow moment for me.

After listening to the album several times, I basically have the feeling of, it's fine.  Next?  I'm hoping some of that will change when listening to the real version, because right now, I still feel the songs sound thin, from an audio standpoint.  And even in the songs that I like a bit better than others, there are things that take me out of them and keep me from loving them (like the backing vocals at one point in SYITH; they feel way too loud and out of place).  Still look forward to hearing them live.

And I think I figured out what MMOTR reminds me of- Blankest Year by Nada Surf.

I thought the album length might turn out to be a disappointment for me but it's not. Of course I'd happily get more fantastic songs like these, but I've listened to the full thing countless times already and have yet to feel it's too short.

I'm trying to think of any major flaws with this album and I can't come up with any except for the cover, and the absence of the highly anticipated Bratwurst. Stab You In The Heart gives me what I'd like to call Bratwursty Vibes™ though and the album 'art' doesn't bother me as much anymore so all is forgiven.

All things considered, Butch Walker and Tchad Blake would be having a big laugh reading the last 30 pages of this thread with people (like myself) freaking out for a fucking mono version of their work 😂

Yeah, it really does stink, for fans and for all involved with the album, that our first listens are not the intended product.

I agree and I am a bit sad for this. I hate myself a bit for not having any kind of control, and I would have preferred to not have a leak at all, with this kind of quality especially. On the other hand knowing that something would have leaked anyway, I kind of appreciate the fact that I will save the final product for Friday. I try to think about this as a bootleg, but yeah it’s not easy. Probably just wishful thinking 😕

Graffitia is one of the best songs they've ever made. Damn, they really did that, 30+ years in to their career.

Off, I can't wait to hear that song. Friday looks so far away right now, I downloaded to the leaks actually but still trying to resist and it’s hard lol

This is just one of these comments that I don't understand at all :D Not a single song from this album sounds generic and lazy. Revolution Radio was full of those. Just listen details from songs in FOAM, they're not simple tracks at all.

I can understand why they might have wanted to have a more generic sound with RevRad, which still is an amazing album. It seems to me after the Trilogy, Billie’s rehab, and little to no promotion of it, it seems they wanted to play it safe, with the exception of course being the wild and epic Bang Bang

I felt that way the first time I heard Bang Bang and it’s still one of my favorite songs and so impressive that it came so late. Graffitia is right up there with it. Tre was right when he said the best Green Day song is one we haven’t heard yet 💚

I've been listening to the album all day. It really exceeded all my expectations. I'm still not the biggest fan of FRA but the rest of the album is awesome. 😄

Same, I'm actually really happy that it's a shorter album. I struggle to listen to the longer albums all the way through in one sitting, but I listened to this one on repeat several times in a row and found it super easy listening and not disappointing at all!
