ANTI Posted February 2, 2020 Share Posted February 2, 2020 Just from listening to Meet me on the Roof and I Was a Teenage Teenager, I can tell this is exactly the experimentation I wanted from the guys, it's very melodic-driven in the way Green Day's music always is, but with very interesting instrumental twists to their usual sound. MMOTR is VERY 60's and sugary and it contrasts a lot with the lyrics, which is a trick I always love, and IWATT is on the vein of 90's alt music with the low and high dynamics of the verses/chorus, so I can definitely see the Weezer comparison even if i don't like them.
