People are here, but in cars behind the venue because no lining up until 10 (supposedly)

How many people / cars already roughly? I'm trying to decide what to do this morning. I'm in OC but should be going to work today. Thanks

Roughly 7 cars I think. They should just let us line up But idk what’s going to happen. Heard they are announcing the show on Kroq at 9...

Or another thought, maybe it just says Kimmell on Weezer’s equipment because they are the Tuesday guest and the others will be the next two nights?

But they could record the three artists at once and show later on

I thought they recorded the show at the studio

They usually do. Or on their parking space. But this is special, so it could be possible

Oh good. The thought of a random mad dash was giving me anxiety and I’m not even involved!

People are numbering people

When you say numbering. as in the order of the people in the queue.

and stupid question (as I've never done one of these (dont plan on it)), is it staff doing that, or fans doing it? .

Yeah...the numbering isn't official at events like this (or ever for that matter). It's going to be a rush to the door at 10 whether you're numbered or not.

It's great in theory, but the venue typically doesn't care.

How civil

People typically respect it but it really doesn’t mean anything.

Its a good way of doing it to be fair. Do you think that could happen on the actual shows?

Never tried being early for a big gig before.

Don't want the barrier, but want to be able to see enough.

my (supposed) closest venue holds 25k, so...

See...I don't think it's "fair' that you get priority bc you live down the street. Fair is getting in line at 10 with everybody else. Haha

Yes, people usually do the numbering system at the regular shows. The people who camp out/show up very early do it, but it usually gets forgotten about as the line gets longer

Oh, I assumed it was almost ten if they were lining up. I guess the venue should turn them away till 10?

For secret shows, theres always gonna be someone close by. I bet a few nut jobs booked hotels weeks ago when this was all just a "theory".

How is it not fair? If you live close to the venue and can get there when the show's announced, that's just how it is. :P
