Popular Post desertrose
I am so hoping we get a green day tour without the other two bands. The beginning of the tour gets just green day. Nice. It does say more dates to be announced after the us tour leg. Fingers crossed more u.s. dates

BurnoutPunkErik
Do we know for sure if there will be a pit at all of the shows? I mean typically these bands tailor themselves to having pits but when you consider the venues they're at, it may differ. I know for instance, the show I am looking to go to at PNC Park in Pittsburgh is a Baseball Stadium. The concert is during the MLB season, and I know the grounds crew would be having a fit if the field got damaged. I saw Billy Joel there a few years ago and they had some temporary hard surfacing down, but at a concert like that you have a little more personal space where in the pit you get none, so that equates to more weight. Grinch
I don't know if it's already been said, but if you sign up for Weezer's mailing list they will instantly send you a pre-sale code for the tour

In terms of the order they bands will play, during the Zane Lowe interview, Billie said the order would be this: 1 - The Interrupters 2 - Weezer 3 - Fall Out Boy 4 - Green Day He also said that Green Day came up with the idea for the tour. So even though they are heavily promoting all three bands, I look at it as Green Day’s tour with some more prominent bands opening for them.

punxie89
I'm torn about the unknown pit situation. They're playing a stadium here in Toronto (something like 40k), which I don't think they've ever done here (they usually do arenas here that fit roughly 20k), so a pit would possibly be a large and hard to control situation for security at the venue. And I'm on a medication that has diuretic as a side effect, and the show starts at 5:30pm-11pm (our legal noise zoning bylaws kick in then) and I really don't know how I'd go that long without having to fucking PEE while stuck somewhere towards the front of the pit 😂 But I don't like being in seats at shows. It feels very disconnected to me. But with seats, I could leave and come back whenever I need to pee...but would have to somehow remember where tf in the stadium I was sitting lol. Seats also means that my friends and I wouldn't be together for the show, cause there's no way one of us is going to buy the tickets for everyone else (especially with the 4 ticket limit per presale code). I don't really know what the set up will be yet...the ticketing page doesn't show the map I don't think...but I didn't try to find it lol too much going on right now

Id rather just listen to the cd at home or whatever. Ha ha, that's an interesting point of view and posture for sure. There's something about gigs (the crowded side perhaps) that is definitely to overcome for me each time I go (I precise that I have never felt the motivation to go to any gig beside Billie related, apart once going with a friend, Paul McCartney or the Rolling stones could be in Paris 2 streets away from me and I'll prefer to stay in bed, while I'm ready to cross the entire planet and put my entire savings down to go see 1h30 of Billie), cause I'm socially awkward. But travelling to go see GD and then the Longshot and finally the Coverups in gigs (first outside of my town, then outside of my country - seeing London 2 years ago after the Hyde park GD gig was a blast - and then across the Atlantic ocean 😂 - which was even more of a blast! - was definitely great cause it was crazy and absolutely unreasonable. I feel addicted only to the 12 hours flight, not even counting the shitty bus, airport waiting and finally the shitty motels and the feeling of being totally screwed in a town where I know no one lol. I loved passing through Orange County by foot last year. So true, for me, it's more than just the gig itself -the waiting in line part is not my favorite, too many interactions with unknown people to end up feeling very lonely is not easy. But seeing Billie right up front for waiting long enough is unreal. And I'm sort of lucky I'm not very subjected to post gig depression after all that Conclusion, I agree with you that listening alone at home can still be awesome. I've put Foam on headphones on repeat and feel absolutely great right now 12 minutes ago, punxie89 said: I'm torn about the unknown pit situation. AHAHA I accidentally let some loose in a Billy Talent moshpit once because I was jumping up and down too much, and it was funny but also oh nooo at the same time. Without the meds I should go back to a regular pee schedule for a couple days lol. It's just an unfortunate side effect. I've always been worried abiut having to go at shows, but it's never happened. I always limit my liquid intake the day of, and go right before doors. But I've also never gone to a show this long before... 4 minutes ago, pacejunkie punk said: That drunk bunny costume is filthy and has seen better days. I have a photo somewhere of the tail just lying on the stage. It was attached again a few days later, but they didn't notice right away. We were barricade at the end of the catwalk trying to yell YOUR TAIL FELL OFFFF to no avail 😝 such good memories from that tour. 1

When I saw a show at Citi Field and the pit was GA, it was very clearly stated so. Most venues mention it, and then distinguish from it if they also do seating.
