If this means smaller shows for the rest of us outside of the big cities then it’s a win-win. The stadium shows would pay for a run of club shows for the hardcore fans like me 💚

God, I hope the shows that GD will play outside of the hella mega tour will be essentially stadiums. The "hardcore fans" are not necessarily people who can afford to travel to go to club shows (that would only take place in the US, and the UK at the largest probably). Stadium shows (not necessarily for the price, but mostly for the availability due to the greater variety of locations and number of places) are much more affordable for a greater number of hardcore fans. Hardcore fans can only be following the official news and not be on any social media, network community or forum. They will still be as big fans as anyone on this forum. Club shows will probably happen on the next tour, and I hope they won't greet the same people blocking the first rows in groups and taking videos all the time, but rather people who have never seen Green Day live, and even more not in these "intimate" conditions. They would deserve it the most.

As someone who has reserved a lot of money to go see The Longshot in 2018 and 2019, as well as the latest Coverups show, a bigger price of a show because it would include FOB and Weezer (which I'm not familiar with, neither of them) doesn't seem insurmountable as such (I hope it won't be too expensive but I understand it wouldn't depend on GD only, so). I would love to see them in Paris if that show really happens, and I bet their set wouldn't be shorter than their habitual ones. I would love even more to see Green Day on their own in a stadium in the US at another moment of their tour, cause I'm addicted to the US now, and to seeing GD play in big venues too.

Ya lads its McFly for that one!

Tom said announcement at 9:30am (I'm a bit of a McFly fan :D) so it could be something completely different.

Oh! Thats not 8am.. although “from 8” makes me skeptical..

it just seems very like a McFly thing for a nice easy announcement! 😂😂

McFly are possibly releasing a 10 year anniversary edition of Radio:Active, or going back on tour which will definitely dominate the UK headlines for the morning at least.

HEY IT'S BEEN 9 YEARS SINCE THE LAST MCFLY ALBUM. A man can dream! :D (ilovemcflyok)

And yeah, woo tour! Green Day, hooray!

I haven't read the threads - don't want to trowl through the dredge - but saw Huddersfield (and London) rumored for a tour date in the UK. Now that is random.

A friend from college who was from California used to say "hella" all the time and it drove me crazy. I told him it wasn't a real word and I couldn't stand it.

Now a whole tour is named after it?

Oh, how the turntables.

With GMB hosting an announcement.. it’s probably McFly.. realistically I mean

Green Day wouldn’t use GMB to announce a tour..

McFly - "ANNOUNCEMENT: We're joining the Hella Mega Tour, supporting Weezer, FOB and Green Day. You're welcome."

Do people still care about McFly? I guess so... people still care about Busted enough to watch them at arenas and we all know those bands are photocopies of eachother

When it comes to being a Green Day fan, I've had to learn to not care about grammatically incorrect stuff for a while now. :P

I just can’t see British morning. Television breaking a Gd announcement, when one-off  the Uks big rockpop  bands also have a comeback tomorrow

there is no way in a million years GD will be mentioned on British TV for a new song, tour, album or anything. Those days are gone I think

The entire McFly fandom rose from the ground earlier so people still definitely do...

Just got confirmation from a friend who works within the industry that Hellman's Mayonnaisse is sponsoring the whole tour.  VIP tickets will include early entry and a 24 pack of mayo jars (but you won't be allowed to leave the venue to put in your car you'll have to hold it for the whole show.)

Such a cool perk for all my fellow mayo heads out there.

Does anyone have an idea of how extensive the tour might be in the EU? Wondering if they'll come to Portugal...

Maybe Rock In Rio? The dates of the festival are similar close to the one in Paris. And these 3 big names are 3 big additions to sold out one day of the festival (and give the critics one day of full rock in a pop festival with a rock name). Otherwise, I just see them in Altice Arena (and they don't play there in what, 10 years?) or NOS Alive (which is only in July, idk). Let's pray together 🙏🤣.
