Hella Mega Tour with Weezer, Fall Out Boy

I spoke with the director of the biggest arena in Quebec this morning and they're not booking the Hella Mega. So either it's in Montreal or they're not doing any tour in North America.

Do you seriously think Green Day would alternate headlining with FoB and Weezer? That Green Day would open for both on some nights?

in the uk and us green Day are culturally far bigger than either and wouldn’t open for either. Just because the band opening is ‘big’ doesn’t mean they’re not supporting. Tickets might be slightly more expensive, but it’ll still be Green Days tour.

You wouldn’t get Royal Blood opening for Foo Fighters for example, even if they were hyped up to help sell tickets

Yes, it was the same for a festval here in italy called Idays (where even GD played with Rancid), the third day pf the festival was Sum41 + Blink182 + Linkin Park, Blink and Linkin Park were Co-headlined BUT Blink for sure played before and LP where the real Headliner, so I guess it's the same. Sum41 instead I think they had a shorted setlist

What was the venue Foo Fighters played last year then? If GD are playing the same one

London Stadium, West Ham United's ground...
They're also playing at Huddersfield Town FC

Look

im not sure how true some of these statements are, or how much it costs.

and, like lots of you, I may not be the biggest fan of some of these bands.

however, by the sounds of it, these gigs are going to be fucking epic.

Scared for the price though.

It’s a stadium tour anyway, arena wouldn’t know much..

If Green Day and the Interrupters are sharing again the stage, there's no way I'm gonna miss this :)

Haven't kept up with this thread so excuse me if this has already been discussed, but are there any hints as to a North America leg this fall? With the rumored February album release date, I'd be curious what the band would be playing in their shows that would be new.

One thing I forgot is that, if this tour is for reals, would they add yet another band for support? Depending on who it is, that sounds fucking awful. I personally hate package tours. I've never been to one where I liked all the bands. It's always 2 - 4 bands I give no shits about. And considering that I've seen GD twice, not sure if I want to do this, especially if they go back to Wrigley in Chicago. We'll see I guess.

My friend who is working with Live Nation to promote it in the US said that the Philadelphia date was at Citizens Bank Park, a baseball stadium, so I don't think it will be happening until spring/summer

I'm skeptical of London and Huddersfield, because you know, Huddersfield. theres nothing there.... no offense..

but Cardiff - Motorpoint is to small and Principality is too big. I guess they could do the football place or maybe sophia gardens. but I doubt they'll go to cardiff.

I think it depends on where they play. Generally, all ages shows have curfews attached to them, so unless they start the concert early they might not be playing longer than 90 minutes.

There was a post above saying the "apparent" billing ending 30mins before curfew.

GD is the headliner, right?
I think Weezer and FOB will have an hour.
GD will have 90 min.

I assumed they'd play Toronto, as they always come here and sell out the show...we also have the Rogers Centre which holds something like 40k. But they've never booked it as far as I know. They always play Budweiser Stage or Scotiabank Arena, which are closer to 18-20k...dunno...😣

I so wish they had been the opener at my RevRad show. I didn't care for Catfish

Also, this is gonna be one freaking epic show if it's

Interrupters, Weezer, FOB & GD

HOLY SHIT!!!
