Hella Mega Tour with Weezer, Fall Out Boy

^^I would be surprised. Even though Australia is doing better than most other countries against corona, I don't expect our borders to be open by then. Even if they are, I suspect anyone who travels into the country will have to do a mandatory quarantine for 14 days, which I can't imagine will be viable for a whole tour group.

Saw that earlier and if it’s true like I’ve seen some say that they aren’t doing refunds that sucks.

I hate their way of managing things, for example, I bought my ticket from resale, through their site, but like $100 more expensive. If they aren't giving refunds and if anything I can't go, I doubt anyone will buy it from me at that price. In the end, I'll still lose.  I truly hope the dates keep being in the summer.

This isn't a surprise but now that it's real, I'm very sad about it.

At least the tour is just rescheduled! Some people on GDC wanted the Hella Mega to disappear completely and just have a tour with GD only.

I’m just relieved by the comment about refund options. There is one good thing about Covid for me and that is I’m not gonna be saddled with my VIP that I bought thinking it would get me a pit ticket when it didn’t.

Obligatory “I’m so glad all three bands will be back!” post. :P

  • AlissaGoesRAWR changed the title to Hella Mega Tour with Weezer, Fall Out Boy - postponed

Has anyone gotten the email yet? I expected this and I'm glad they did it. While I'm not the kind of person who is hiding and doing nothing, I dont feel real comfortable being with 30,000 of my closest friends yet

In a year a lot of thing will be different.

Now that it is officially postponed, what does everyone think will be happening in the world of Green Day during this long stretch of downtime? I personally wouldn't be too surprised if we got at least an EP before this tour now.

If the small show are allowed, even a Longshot or Coverups mini tour

I think we’re gonna get a full album. Billie had said he was writing songs, sending demos to Butch and getting back in the studio with Mike and Tre as soon as they could. Butch said he’s already started preparing for the next Green Day album so I think we’ll see a new album by the beginning of next year before the tour resumes and they will tour on that album instead.

We been knew, but naturally, one is still upset.

If one good thing were to come out of it, it's probably the fact that I'll be able to purchase a ticket for a second and possibly third show later on.

Hella Mega was going to be my 8th show of the year... everything stopped at #3.

Probably nothing as most states won't be "open" in terms of large gatherings. We might get some videos, but as it's been, I would say No Fun Monday's the the extent of "new" content for the foreseeable future.

So 7 songs last year were recorded but didn't make it onto FOAM; 3-4 songs were written between Sept-Feb; and 6 have been written in quarantine.

I thought someone said in this forum last year that some songs were meant for The Longshot but will now be GD songs? Is this true or speculation?

I just got an email from Ticketmaster confirming the postponement.

Glad to see they've finally postponed everything. All we can do now is wait for summer 2021 and hope for the best! I'm really glad to see they're still trying to work this out with all 3 bands. Gives me at least one thing to look forward to.

The DC refund policy is a little annoying in that I got wait til they either announce a new date or have to wait 60 days.

I honestly just wanted a refund but the email I got says refunds are not allowed. That really stinks
