Well my hotel is shut for the foreseeable future and the damn agency cancelled my booking.  If it goes ahead now I’ll probably have to sleep on a park bench 😂😂

This just reminded me of Glasgow and how they cannot catch a break when it comes to GD shows. Hope shows come back next year.

This. They're not going to make a separate announcement for each show or a few at a time. I'm sure they're aware people are waiting for news but re-arranging a whole new world tour involving several bands isn't done in a day, surely. As mentioned before the Norway show is 100% happening next year so I trust they're working on everything behind the scenes.

they could say that the tour is cancelled and then after some weeks announce the new dates like they did for the asian ones.

I'm so anxious because I want the tickets to remain valids for next year and if the tour will be in june I will have to fight for the days off at work with my colleagues so the sooner I know it, the better will be 😁

New interview with Pete Wentz, talking about Hella Mega Tour

- You should have been warming up for the Hella Mega Tour right about now, right?

“Yup. Two weeks before quarantine began, we got together and rehearsed our set with our staging, our video and our lights because it’s a stadium, so you can’t just do it the week before. Now it’s like we’re circling, waiting to land. Nobody knows anything and it’s hard because we really want to do this tour. It was a hard thing to orchestrate because there are three bands, you have to figure out who’s doing what and everyone had to really want to do it. I know as much as you do about what’s going to happen with it.“

- Plus, you must just be looking forward to watching Weezer and Green Day every night?

“We did a mini version of the show at Whiskey a Go Go and when Green Day play songs like ‘Basket Case’, those songs are so massive it’s like they’re baked into people’s DNA. Fall Out Boy aren’t there yet. Is that somewhere we could potentially get to? Yeah, I believe so. We grew up listening to Green Day. You have to think about what the 16-year-old version of you would think about you getting the chance to play with Weezer and Green Day. It’s super cool. Are you going to turn it down because you think you’re too big? Nah.”

I'm really not :( I was supposed to be seeing them two months from now and it was only just becoming to feel real when the virus hit and now it's pretty much clear it's not happening. It's a be careful what you wish for situation.

I remember when we all bought our tickets and it felt so anticlimactic after because it was still eleven months away for my shows.  I had never bought concert tickets so far in advance before.  If they’re gonna keep my money for two years now they should at least pay me interest 😕

Exactly. I bought my ticket and thought "I'll have to finish two semesters at uni before this show" and it was so far it didn't feel real.

They should do a completely free outdoor tour and see how many people show up.

Lots of people love those 30 dollar sips of beer, so it would still be profitable, Haha.

When I was doing your Pro and Cons list the other day, there was nothing in the Cons side.
But sadly I forgot about your hate for the Hella Mega. I thought you was perfect.

Nah. Plane was because I love travelling. But I can't anymore because of something called Covid-19 😥
BUT! What I can do tho is drinking. So Booze is relevant.

Now been told my hotel in Glasgow has shut until mid July!

I wonder if there are issues they are trying to settle, particularly in the states where ticket prices are so high, with so many people losing their jobs, should they refund the money to people because they need it but if they do that, will folk be able to afford the tickets next year.

Or should they even do the tour at all. I know the Asia dates are rescheduled but we’re due for a second wave and until there’s a vaccine I don’t see any arena or stadium events taking place. We know more now than we did in March when the first dates were postponed.

I hope it's not gonna be a refund. I don't want to go through the stress of purchasing the tickets in the online queue again.

Plus it's in question if it will be possible to travel from country to country without having to go in quarantine. It might be a problem to do a tour with different regulations in every country.

That’s why I think a tour this size is highly unlikely until at least 2022

I agree, mainly because it's a big risk to take with no one knowing what will or won't be possible next year, but I wouldn't rule out there will be concerts. The industry will want to bounce back as soon as possible.
