Miko
So Finland will be 2nd show they will do during this Hella Mega Tour. Holy shit, now there is almost no way to know beforehand what songs they will actually play. I'm so damn excited.
Christian_Inferno95
I don't know if they had seen it but green day postponed the tour of Asia ... very sad Edited February 28, 2020 by Christian_Inferno95

I'd hate the media even more so if this happened. There's so much unnecessary panic happening it's just sad to look at. People are going apeshit, buying food like pasta and rice or also bottled water in bulk. Even here in Czechia, without a single case confirmed in this country... It goes to show people don't think for themselves anymore. You get a headline about stores having some stuff sold out, and the more people go and continue the panic. Mass hysteria... GuitarPunk94
its not the corona virus itself, the real enemy are the people who go in panic-mode (its getting more ridicolous from day to day here in germany) sure we should take this serious and stay safe and healthy, and i can understand why they cant tour asia in march but i hope there wont be any / too much cancellation in sommer for european shows/festivals .. it wont make a big difference if you force a festival too shut down, people will still stay in contact close to other people in public transportations or whatever people do when they live in a bigger city
Duhhan1023
So the guys have pretty much nothing to do until May right? Hope they use this time to do something useful!

Here we have school closed + no events + no theatre or music classes because they all are gatherings of people But public transport are still working and I read that we have "to stay at a security distance" In Milan. On the rush hour. Believe it. Sure. 2 hours ago, Kyrthical said: I'd hate the media even more so if this happened. There's so much unnecessary panic happening it's just sad to look at. Red alert is the color of panic 😂 Same here. Empty shelves for no reason. We're not during war time. Also! I read a post on Facebook from a immunocompromised girl who said like "Don't buy a mask if you don't really need it, because then people like me won't be able to find one anywhere". This makes me mad. 2 hours ago, JellyTime said: I've been expecting this Hope European dates won't be cancelled for the same reason. This makes me mad. I've been expecting this too because the main problem is now ☹️ I don't wanna think about the next months for now I respectfully disagree and unfortunately this doesn’t seem like the end. The tour is a minor item on my list If concerns (with family health/ the economy/ our regular way of life being the primary focus), but I honestly think the US leg of the tour is potentially in question depending on how the next few months play out. This isn’t a media driven panic. This is a real issue that’s going to be the global story of 2020. It doesn’t seem to be as deadly (hopefully) as the Spanish flu pandemic so far, but there are similarities. That pandemic shut down global commerce and had a catastrophic impact. Our ability to treat and apparently contain such an event hasn’t improved much even though a century has past. A major pandemic has long been a worst-case, low probability yet high impact scenario for humanity outside of an asteroid/ meteor strike or catastrophic solar flare. Things that happen very rarely, but have profound impact. At the very least, hopefully this will be just a reminder that we need to be ready for these types of events. However, it’s looking more likely by the day that this will be a global issue this year, economically and socially. We have many months to go, and I’m hoping for the best, but we’ll see about this tour. It wouldn’t be shocking if the US had regional or even more widespread school closures and event cancellations in the coming months. It’s well beyond a zero probability outcome at this point. This is more than just media driven hype. Believe me, I very much wish this were the case, but what’s unfolding is not good.

I completely understand your point I didn't want to say "who care about this virus, there's nothing bad, this is all drama" My "WTF" moment was about the panic-mode we had like between Sunday and Monday here and a majority of media overacting to this. You can both find a good article and an article which say "We're going to die" Of course concerts and events in general ar a minor items because the real problem is health and economy. Thinking about work, shout out to all the people who are payed by hour, like me. If you don't work for a week, you don't earn anything. Plus, I work as a library assistent so I can't work at home. There's a huge problem about tourism, and many areas in Italy live by that. [Like little town in the mountains or near the sea that are the main attraction only in a specific moment of the year] Many hotels and co. are having loads of cancellation and 2 italian train companies are refuding everyone who don't want to leave. That's a huge loss of money What make me sad is racism over asian because I've watched a video that showed an italian man slapped a man in a supermarket saying "it's your fault" Or like screenshot about cyber bullying and stuff These are the times I am ashamed to be italian. Then, you watch a video about a group of italian stucked on a plane from Mauritius for 10 hours who say "Oh, they have been treated us like lepers, we are exhausted, they have been judging us" Face palm. Huge facepalm. Double facepalm.
Popular Post CherryBombs&Gasoline
Ok, it is a serious issue and we should all be careful. I get it. I just wish we'd talk just as much about all the refugees who are drowning in the mediterranen sea daily. Just to name one example. It feels as if the media and some politicians have double standards here. I think it was the right decision to cancel the Asian dates for now. And hopefully the rest of the tours isn't at risk. We'll see. Right now, I wouldn't be too worried.

RedundantIdiot
A lot of bands have shifted their gigs forward by a year to similar dates in 2021. For example, the Who have moved their UK tour from March this year to March 2021, Queen have rescheduled their European tour to next year, and GD have done it for the Asian dates: so hopefully GD can do it for their European dates to give people something to look forward to. I should've been seeing the Killers and GD two weeks apart in June😭, hopefully they'll happen next year 🙏
Alan86
It only takes a few shows in Europe to pull out for the tour not to make economic sense anymore. Also even traveling to and within Europe is gonna be very difficult with so few flights and border restrictions etc. I can’t see any touring this year, and like has been said above, it probably makes sense to postpone everything for 1 year

Popular Post DookieLukie
They should postpone until 2021, refund any tickets if people want it, and then release their 7 extra FOAM songs and maybe another EP before the tour.

As much as it pains me to say it, because I was looking forward to this so much, this unfortunately does make the most sense at this point.
