Popular Post Montclare
I'm waiting until we know for a fact what's going on before forming any solid opinions, but general thoughts- As long as GD plays last and has a full set, I'm cool with this. I like enough of Weezer and FOB's hits to be okay with seeing them. I do worry about having to fight with the other bands' fans for tickets and space though. My fear is if GD's set is shortened, due to radius clauses, I'll have to travel a long ways to see them when they tour to support the album. Also wonder if this tour will delay the album and just be a greatest hits for all three bands. I find the idea of them all releasing something on the same day to be odd. They have overlapping fan bases, so wouldn't they just cancel each other out and sell less/have a harder time charting? It's interesting to look at various fans' responses. Both Weezer and FOB's reddits are happy about this. I hope they don't look here and see all the negativity about them. It's one thing to be not be thrilled about this, and another to act as though this is the end of the world. 47 minutes ago, Beerjeezus said: Btw, I'm still not over the fact that someone apparently thinks "Hella Mega" is a good phrase. angry_robot
If it's London Stadium I feel really sorry for everyone who's going to try to get the barrier! Been an absolute shitshow for Muse this summer, they blocked the pitch with a huge line of stewards holding hands who were walking backwards slowly (to prevent people from running towards to the front I guess). In the end all those poor stewards got squashed between the barrier and angry fans trying to push forward and it's been a massive mess when they tried to get out of there. 😕

punxie89
I really want to know how random people have been mailed these random band shirts, like how were their mailing adresses acquired, and how did they know what size to send?! The one with GD on it that says FOB is the best one imo lol. Bound to piss some random people off that don't know what it's about 😂 1

Montclare
And if these are indeed random people, how do they know that people will post it to their social media accounts?

A club in London Yeah. You guys are way jumping ahead assuming this is a stadium tour. It will have stadium dates at some places. Weezer plays not huge venues and Green Day barely sells out arenas and did not sell out The Rose Bowl last year in LA. They had to move the stage up like 20 yards. In Europe it will be stadiums and depending on how the albums do, and where they are in the world they will play some arenas and a couple major stadiums on the coast. Japan will be stadium and South America probably. It becomes exponential when you have an ensemble line up. Weezer, FOB with Green Day will bring out more people because of the bang for the buck. Love Weezer, just wish I could get excited about FOB. I need to give em a chance.

LaughingClock
So I booked Weezer in 2012 and I was just looking at their rider. Take a guess how much weight their big W is on the stage. Let's do it like jelly beans.

desertrose
Reading the comments apparently these were also handed out in Seattle at El Corazon and the El Ray. Also photo is liked by wmas. Warner music artist services.
Yosuke Hanamura
Green Day should really be on their own. For one, their time will be cut unnecessarily short. Secondly, they’d completely overshadow FOB and Weezer in terms of performance. It worked for the Pop Disaster Tour because Green Day was promoting International Superhits!, but it would just leave disappointment for many in this case, including me.

First off it’s not going to be a full summer amphitheater tour (which they still will prob do on their own) these are special event shows that will be at BASEBALL STADIUMS. These are going to be absolutely massive. Both Weezer and FOB put on terrific live shows and play significantly shorter sets than GD. I’d be absolutely shocked if we didn’t get our 2 hr + standard GD sets at these shows. Only downside to me is that getting tickets for these shows will be extremely difficult. But I have no doubt Green Day will play many many solo headlining shows during this album cycle so we really have nothing to worry about. Man, I hope you’re right.

About $350 was owed per agreement, handed us $12.50 and an invoice for everything from security to city tax which had zero mention in the agreement. Sorry to get off topic. edit: I’m sorry I can’t figure out how to remove the photo from the reply.

Popular Post tdlyon
A lot of the reactions on here are fucking embarrassing, honestly. I really didn't think the Green Day fanbase was one of those fandoms that hates every band that's not their own, and to get actively mad that the band is going on a tour is absolutely ridiculous. It means it's the start of their new era, how the hell is that bad news? Just don't go to the tour if you hate the other two bands that much, you're out of your mind if you think this will be the only tour Green Day does for the new album cycle anyway. They will 100% go on a solo headliner afterwards Personally I'm super excited that they're back, and probably going to get a ton of publicity and attention from this.
