I'll record it from my smartphone.

thanks! I'll just wait for that then!

If that is when the song comes out it'll be on Spotify straight away anyway, so as long as I hear the new song ASAP, the interview will be there for after :)

With really no hint/clue what it will sound like nobody of us can say how epic it will be.

I can only imagine what time the songs will come out. I hope I'm not already at work or that I'm at least awake

yeah true.. but i have a bad feeling.. i would feel better if green day announced the new era and stuff on their own.. and not talking at first about shows with two bands who went shitty directions musicaly

Dudes, do not lose yourself behind words like ''epic'', ''big'' etc... that much. I'm a little bit skepctical, too, but only about timing and planning, considering how weird the wait has been, with confirmations, changes, postproning and on. On the surface, at least, 'cause we'll never know it it was planned or not. That said, I think Green Day just had the chance of this co-tour and found it a good idea, and there's nothing wrong about it. Honestly, I don't know why the fact that tour bands are FOB and Weezer should affect their songwriting, or make it result less ''epic'' or ''big''. Will they play shorter concerts? I don't know, if we talk about single events for the 3 groups, there's all day available, with Green Day rocking from 9 PM to all night long. I'm happy something came out, I hope everything will flew more naturally from now 'till the album release. And that these new songs will be catchy and fun, of course 🙂

Honestly, all I really want is an album with good, fun songs. I don’t buy into “Green Day’s next album should be like this”. Revolution Radio was a banger of an album to me, and I can easily say it was a stellar comeback after the Trilogy. (Even though I like ¡Uno! and some songs from ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!)

Calling it, the secret show will not be just Green Day. Weezer fan club is teasing secret shit tomorrow night and selecting members to be involved.

That's well known now. Just head over to the secret show thread. All 3 bands have sound checked at the same venue.

You’re not really calling anything, we’ve known for hours the secret show was gonna involve all three bands

PS: And, no offense, but I think Green Day already gave their best on the ''epic'' side with both American Idiot and 21st CB. They don't have to turn into Queen or, I don't know... And honestly, sometimes people overjudge those 2 albums. They may have longer songs and unusual instruments, for Green Day standards, but the song composition is always the same, and that's why there are good songs. On my side, I would prefer, like I already said, a more ''direct'' rock and roll album in their own way. I love Jesus of Suburbia but Drirty Rotten Bastards is one of those songs giving me head aches. Forever Now is slight better, to my ears, but there's no sense to re-do something, when you've already did it at your best. My opinion.

I absolutely adore RevRad. I think of that as being an "epic" album. Songs like Still Breathing, Bang Bang and Forever Now are Green Day on top form. And I honestly think Somewhere Now is one of the greatest songs Billie has ever written.

I liked RevRad a lot, it has more equilibrium and songs are better connected, compared to trilogy unnecessary ''chaos''. I love Somewhere Now too, I think it's one of their best songs. I know people love Forever Now, but it I think it's way too long, and the opener is much a better song in both lyrics and structure 🙂

Zane Lowe interview at 6pm Uk time.. so that'll be announcement and singles?

Hopefully. Gotta love a bit of Zane. Annie is good but not the same level as Zane IMO for Radio 1.

I loved RevRad but the mixing was terrible and it was causing pain in the ears while listening. In the two latest realises( trilogy and reverad) GD show not to have stabilize how the should sound, they themselves i think were disappointed from the trilogy 's sound, and although i have not heard an official comment on revrad's sound, i think there is reason for disappoinment too, so ,proceeding from that ,it will be interesting how the next album will sound ( in terms of mixing etc.)  ps. i too agree that the  songs on revrad are good.
