NotTrain
The way I see it, these could easily be seen as mini-festivals, with each band getting 1.5-3 hours to perform. It would explain as to why they’re all supposedly at stadiums etc, as they could start at 3pm and finish at 10/11pm. It also wouldn’t surprise me, if this is true, that a portion of profit goes to a charity of some kind. I’m not a FOB or Weezer fan, but if this is legit, I’d still consider trying to go. DrBare
How much do you think tickets are gonna to be? anything near the front is going to be extortionate. £65+ I reckon.
Flashback
I just had a quite satisfying thought rushing through my mind, so I‘ll share it with you, for positive vibes: FOAMF ist real, its like confirmed, and it fits perfectly to the leaked songs we heard 😌
Lacky
2 minutes ago, Digoco said: I don't know why you guys think this means Green Day will get shorter sets. Last year Metallica toured with Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat and Gojira (medium to big metal bands), and their set was pretty much the same as the rest of the tour without them. This could be a similar case. Let's all recognize that this tour would be huge. And maybe they could just be trying to push Green Day into becoming a stadium band. Remember that article about the RS trying to figure out who will take their place now that they have almost finished? And as RevRad's tour didn't work out well in terms of sales, this could help. With that said I don't care about Fall Out Boy. I've never listened to them and I don't think I will. I try to explain better my disappointment. With festivals, you go there for the main act and then you can enjoy the other bands, and you can discover them if they're new for you. I did it many times and it was funny. 99% of the crowd was there for Green Day and we also supported the other smaller acts. This tour seems so different. Three main acts, so three different kind crowd, waiting for their main act. So, when it's FOB's turn, for example, I don't have that feeling of discovering them, or supporting them, because they're already famous, I already know them and I already dislike them, I won't feel that "let's give us our love to these young guys" that I felt with new or smaller bands. Plus, the tickets would be more expensive for sure and the bands have three different focus for their music, so it could be a bit less focused and so so musically messy. IK maybe 4 people who would go. now you ad FOB and Weezer into the mix, I could name at least 12 who would like to go. Probably a few more if the gig was close to me. What I'm saying is its going to be hard to get the type of show we want. however, if its this other nothing, I'll choose this. Just have to camp out by the show to ensure good standing. fyi, if you decide to sit on someones shoulders in front of me.. you're getting pushed off. I want to see as well.... The first time I saw gd live I had to stand through 3 local absolute trash bands before gd came on, and that lasted for some good 3 hours or more...but I didn't really give a shit, had earplugs, chilled and still had a great time overall Reasons why this is a shit show: - FOB (Not saying anything about Weezer because I don't know them very well). - most likely time gets cut - more $$$ for less - hugeass venues - whoever came up with the phrase Hella Mega was clearly on their last braincell

The offer a model called „Mega“, you can buy it on Amazon. So maybe this whole tour ist just a giant sponsoring of this company to promote their Hella Mega searchlights 😂 2 minutes ago, Redundantuserjinxboy said: FOAMF as well as the new album is real The leaks are not Lmao Hella Mega is such a cringy name. Joe K
Tbh this weezer/fob tour sounds like that they would be supporting acts/special guests and Green Day would play a normal set. I can't even imagine that they would at this point of their career agree to shorten their set? Just seems off to me. Actually someone mentioned the Metallica tour and that crossed my mind too. Im.a.basket.case
If Crush had a decent marketing team, which I'm starting to doubt, they would see this would not be a good idea for the GD fan base. It would just piss us all off and cause us to blend numerous objects.

Harry
I’m actually super excited for this. This forum is a very small part of the GD fanbase. lots of fans would be thrilled with this arrangement A. just to see new music/green day live. B. I imagine there are lots of people who like all 3. Also its not their job to "please the fans". Its their job to make as much money as possible. In a lot of cases, this involves pleasing fans, however, they are plenty of fans who will be happy/tolerate this and its going to make them a shit ton of money. At the end of the day, its business. Its exactly the same style. I still think the leaks sound nothing like this. The guitars and drums are much heavier and fuller, and I still think it sounds like Billies voice. The only tiny piece of hope I’m still clinging to is the tiny chance that the music in those leaked videos (not the parts where they talk) might be real. Probably isn’t, but still.
