Well, yeah. Sucks to be us. The US at least get the secret shows and side projects. All the rest of the world has is blue balls from the instagram teasing :P

Come on, don't tell me you wouldn't prefer a show

There are many different kinds of shows 😜

And European diehard fans know how to travel. At the Longshot and Coverups shows I’ve been to, I’ve seen just as many fans from Europe as I have from the US in the front of the line.

That is 100% true. But if its that or nothing, fans will take what they can get.

I am hoping they do some small shows in between the big shows...(because they''re old now and will need more rest days in between shows)

I think we will have other ptions even if it does happen. There is no way that they're going to ONLY do a stadium tour.

Yeah, you're right. Better than nothing. I'd rather just wait until a next leg of the tour though. Not worth it unless it's same prize (and that's still not worth it but less of a scam lol).

I'd love some smaller shows. I don't think they'll an tired old band that plays for an hour something and then needs a week to recover just yet though :P

It really doesn’t matter what diehard fans think. As with anything, the hardcore folks don’t bring in the big bucks... the general public does. If a co-headline tour, as much as we would hate it, fills seats... that’s what they’ll go with.

Withing the Green Day fandom, we are the 1%... make no mistake.

Anyway this is why we need to overthrow capitalism

Also I just thought of something. What if on the tenth we don't get an announcement for new music, just a tour announcement?

I completely get wanting as much Green Day as possible, but them coheadlining with anyone would not stop me from going. Granted I'm a Weezer fan but they could be playing with someone I hate and I'd still be there.  I'm going to see Blink & Lil Wayne in two weeks and have 0 interest in Wayne and don't understand the pairing but that doesn't stop me from seeing a band I love

I'd be very happy with that unless it's this co-headline thing (I'd hate both not going and going). Ngl I'm so excited to see them again

I'm as excited to see them again as I am for the album. My girlfriend didn't end up going when I saw them a few years back (she didn't care much for RevRad), but she really wants to see them this time around (unless Weezer is involved. She hates Weezer).

I don't like concerts at all so I wouldn't go either way but I feel if I did tolerate concerts, whoever GD are headlining with would have little effect on my choice to go or not, personally :o

I probably wouldn't buy a ticket then be sad I'm not going and then either get one last minute and feel victimized by evil capitalist Billie Joe or not go and maybe regret it a little. If it's a stadium I could chill outside and listen to it. I'm assuming it would be in my city because if I was traveling I'd simply go somewhere with a normal show

If the GD/W/FOB thing is happening (and I'd prefer that it not, unless it was a very few number of shows, and not anything that would reduce my chance of seeing a full show of just GD), it'd be interesting to see the opinion of Weezer and FOB fans.  I'm guessing some of them would be complaining about having to see Green Day.

My fear is, what if the shows didn't sell out?  If any one of the three bands were to sell 80% of an arena, whatever.  But if all three together were to do that?  That would make all of them look done.

Most Weezer fans adore Green Day. They'd love it. A lot of them have said shit about "I'd rather a tour with Green Day or somebody like that instead of Panic! at the Disco" when P!ATD and Weezer toured in 2016. Fall Out Boy fans would probably dig the idea as well because the band have talked a lot about how big it was to induct Green Day into the Rock Hall, and I assume they'd feel the same about touring with them.

Those only happen at night California time, or so it seems.

Could someone please tell me why everybody here thinks thet GD will just tour with FOD and skip a solo tour? I missed that part in the thread 😂

(I think, if you tease an album like Magnum Opus or whatever it‘s called, you are like forced to do a big solo stadium tour, it‘s just too epic to share it with others 🤔)

if they’re touring with fob and weezer, this album won’t be epic or grand. remember this post.

Not every tour combo makes sense stylistically. But it does makes sense to some degree with weezer and by the fact that all these bands could make out good financially from this. We can’t tell how good track will be or do based on who they’re touring with

Hm, not sure what a I think about a joint tour but at the end of the day, when they come within striking distance of me, I have to go.  Still sad I didn’t get to see the Slaves/Rancid/Green Day epic in 2017 😭😭now that I was dying to see.

I really don't see that Green Day's career is in that point that they need to make a tour together with another band. I can see why they did Pop Disaster Tour, but right now they really are okay on their own.
