People who don't want to pay a ton more for a ticket to see them play for less time lol If the only show available was a co-headline show with those bands I just wouldn't bother seeing them on this tour. Luckily as mentioned shows like that usually don't carry over into Europe though. If it's even true.
Libertine Angel
Yeah, £70 was already a vast amount last time, even more for a less enjoyable show would just be shit.

I didn't mind that as it's really pretty much the minimum it costs to see acts of their stature in arenas these days, plenty charge a lot more. No way I'd pay more to see them with two other bands I don't care about though.
Beerjeezus
I'd hate to pass up the opportunity to see them but also hate feeling like I got scammed. Seeing how much we're enjoying this prospect, I'm wondering if it's true. If the market research among diehard fans results in almost everyone saying they wouldn't go, it doesn't seem like a good idea to do this.

Yeah, Green Day tickets are really cheap (at least compared to other big name acts). 2nd row tickets to see them (at least in August 2017) are cheaper than seeing Metallica or Foo Fighters in an arena closer to the nosebleeds section. As much as I love Weezer and half of Fall Out Boy's work, Rancid and The Interruptors are much better choices. Catfish & The Bottlemen put on an awesome show opening for GD (even though I couldn't hear the guitar or vocals at all).

Honestly when it comes to this stuff, they really don’t care about the relatively small number of die hard fans and what they want. They want tens of thousands of casual fans and curious people who have never seen them before. They can’t fill a stadium with die hard fans. This isn’t about us. Not everything can be. Now the mysterious IG accounts and cryptic clues? That’s about us. I think they know when they are doing something for their diehard fans when they post to social media, play secret shows, do side projects and have other special events. Saw them at festivals and arena shows, it was the same set and Same length. I must say I prefer regular shows too, but a festival has its own unique vibe and it’s always so great to see how the boys handle the really big crowds. It gives them a rush too I guess. As with anything, the hardcore folks don’t bring in the big bucks... the general public does. If a co-headline tour, as much as we would hate it, fills seats... that’s what they’ll go with. Within the Green Day fandom, we are the 1%... make no mistake.
