I'm gonna take a guess

official announcement sometime this month (maybe a website upgrade)

Single in a couple months

Album in the new year followed by a tour (hopefully) - Please hope theres a big UK/EU one - Maybe even festivals

I personally don't think theres going to be anything at whiskey go go, I just haven't seen much evidence, apart from the band visited? Am I right?

Maybe the announcement will be the 10th, maybe it will be later.

Album cover could be fake, could be a mock up. Does it matter. No really. Not untill anything official is announced, as the album cover on its own doesn't tell us anything.

the insta leaks. Clearly old footage, as it was all recorded at the same time ("14Hrs"), but being drip fed.

not sure if theres any other evidence to suggest other wise?

That actually seems like the most plausible theory to me. I don’t really know why everyone assumes these videos and the album cover leak are recent?

I do agree. And, if they're true, they're out now when the job is finished just for ''hype'' reasons, before showing that job to everyone 🙂

So they were shooting a music video two months in advance just for fun?

Exciting to hear that things are going on on the website, if I remember correctly from RevRad, the website started to be updated in the days leading up to Bang Bang, before the song was released and album announced.

If the song definitely is Father of All Motherfuckers, maybe the song will officially be released as "Father of All" so that the media can write / read the title without bleeping or using *******. The song could unofficially be known as Father of All Motherfuckers but the official title could be just "Father of All."

Otherwise, if the song will be released worldwide as Father of All Motherfuckers, I'm sure the band and their team are wise enough to know that it'll impact on publicity having a song with an explicit title, which leads me to think that it would be a deliberate ploy... maybe the meaning behind the song, or the contents of the video, is something that the band intentionally want to keep away from the media. I know it sounds ridiculous, but lets say the song was about the media and all kinds of communication we have in 2019, naming the song with an expletive would be a fuck you to all the people its about.

Like I said I know it sounds silly, just a thought I had. I don't believe it would be the case personally.

They've only just shot a couple days ago, right?

by the time its edited and checked, its gonna be about a month. add on the sort of publicity tasks that go along with a release, I would estimate 1 month to 1.5 months.

I hope I'm wrong and its being fast tracked,

but I don't think they would rush it.

EDIT: so I might have been wrong. this image suggests it will be ready in 2 weeks, released in 3 or 4. so nearer 1 month than 2.

The bang bang music video took 2 weeks and a half in total, shooting, production and release. Considering that a single is usually released a little sooner than the video, even if it's a very complex video, 2 months seems way too much time to me.

2 months, too much I'm thinking now, but I don't think we are getting anything this side of sept. Maybe late sept/ early oct. Maybe an announcement on 10th is what some people think?

I completely forgot that Bang Bang even had a music video .

Not that it matters, but wasn't bang bang already released before the music video was shot, therefore there was no need to "wait for the right time" to release it, as there wouldn't have been as much hype.

They could sit on this new video till everything is finalised. Full album, tours, social media and website updates.

There's no pressure (apart from here) to get the music video released early.

I don't think they will sit on it, I'm just saying, they could if they really wanted too.

For example, once edited, slowly leak screenshots for 2 weeks before they release anything.

I think we'll get an announcement this week or next. It'll either be a single announcement or a single and album announcement. If it's just a single announcement then the album will be announced with the single like what they did with RevRad and Bang Bang.

I know what billnted said but I still have a sinking feeling we are getting music this month. I don't see them announcing a single and then being like "released in three weeks" tho bang bang was announced 12 days before iirc so it's not out of the picture unfortunately. But I personally don't think we will have to wait longer than a week.

I believe the music video will probably be released a week or two after the single. POSSIBLE it's released the same day but it was pretty recently shot so I assume they still got some work to do.

I think we'll get another single every month until February when the album is released. And that's going off of Tjchrobo and knowing crush management.

I think this is what is likely to happen.

Lets hope I'm wrong.

OFF-TOPIC:

I'm not that active, here. Sometimes I post a song, bother someone and then disappear for months and months. But I just wanna say that this community is a special place and needs to be protected. May you all excuse my bad jokes, it's self-defense. Waiting for new Green Day and sending lots of love. Ok, now we can go on! 😄

Another HUGE piece of evidence regarding the Instagram videos that might seal the deal on those being real for me

look at the guitar at 58:16.

then compare it to the guitar in the bottom left of the second Instagram video.

The headstocks are entirely different. I don't even know if they're the same body shape.

In fact, it looks closer to a Gretsch White Falcon.

Oh would you look, two seconds later they're holding the guitar in the next clip at a better angle in the same video. Yeah it's most likely White Falcon, or at least not the Yamaha.

There’s a Gretsch at about an hour in that look a lot like it too. I think probably impossible to draw a concrete conclusion but it would have to be the most gigantic coincidence in the world for these not to be them

Yeah seems like a coincidence to me - BUT you do raise a good point with the Gretsch. It happens to be a White Falcon, but it's a custom built Neil Young edition with gold binding. If someone could direct me to the color version of the video, we might be able to determine if it's his custom edition master built Gretsch and that might be our answer. Until then, I have nothing to really prove otherwise.

Does anyone have the color version they could send?

Can anyone figure out the lyrics?

From the choir one all i hear is “holy shit” “goodbye” and “sometimes”

the second one I hear “... with the 1-800 lie/line” and “I, I don’t care/know... I said”. the first part sounds like the first part of the word is cut off.

the first leak I hear “raise your... i, I’m so ....” or something along those lines

To everyone saying we are still a couple of weeks away from hearing anything because of waiting for the music video, the common thing to do nowadays (especially with the lead single from a new album) is to release a lyric video in advance of the official video in order to get the music out sooner and build up hype for the album.

Not saying we are definitely getting a song soon, I'm just saying that waiting for an official video to be edited isn't reason to think we have to wait that long to hear the full song.

True, but not always true. For example, Panic at the disco released their latest album's first single and its music video on the same day in 2018. And remember that GD are under the same management team.

In all honesty with all the hype/buzz building, it would just make sense to drop something very soon, 'while the iron is hot,' on a marketing perspective. It would make zero sense to create all this buzz and then....nothing...we have to be getting something any day now.

People have short attention spans, I sure as hell do...Eventually all the 'leaks' will not be as interesting if they are drawn out for so long..I'm saying we will get something official no later than the 10th.

Unless the buzz continues, maybe with a "surprise" show in the between of buzz and release, let's say in a week? :P

I don't think they are building buzz but rather anticipation. And so far mainly in the fan community.

It'll be interesting to see how this is going to translate to the rest of the world. We're anticipated for something new but for everyone else it'll be quite sudden to receive a new Green Day song out of the blue.

If the buzz dies down, all they have to do is release another "clue", "hint".

I mean, most people here get super hyped by #foamf

imagine what would happen if the official GD insta posted something. A corner of the album cover., a 1 sec guitar riff.

they won't, but they could easily string this forum and hype along for decades. or will they.

Nothing seems to be "leaked" from radio stations and news outlets yet also. maybe they dont want another kerrang.

How sad is when you got a day full of hype and then the day after seems that nothing would happen? 😐

Seeing that http://greenday.com/ is fully changed both visually and how the codes for the site have changed I would say a lot is happening, just "behind doors"
