GDFan2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Share Posted July 10, 2019 I still think what happened was, after Sophie K’s announcement, maybe Billie or someone at the label told them when an announcement was actually planned and that they wanted it to be a surprise (Duh!). And now they’re just doing damage control. “Uh yeah....uh....Green Day’s reps just told us no single coming anytime soon!” I’m sure if there truly wasn’t going to be a single, the band would’ve spoken out about it themselves! And again, they wouldn’t be teasing us with these middle finger posts for nothing. And now that we figured out that one photo was taken at the Otis lounge!!! The band has reps for the sole purpose of what happened. The people they pay to speak on their behalf when news outlets ask for information. This is called a publicity manager/public relations manager. Also, Otis is more than just their studio. Billie has said it’s also his club house to hang out and just have fun. Calm your fingers down. While I think his criticism of me wasn't worded very politely and I can also see where you're coming from, I will say that in this instance he was right with his core message, which is why I ended up conceding his point. Billie said that a new single will be coming out in September and a new album in February, followed by a 2020 tour. This will be their last album in their contract with Warner Bros. Afterward they plan to release singles, EPs, and albums more often that are self produced. P.S.
