If the video is taken down, does that mean it’s real or fake?

Yes.

That first clip from yesterday is a song from Simple Creatures called “Thanks, I Hate It”.

It sounds similar but as far as I can tell, it’s not the same song

You're comparing it to the wrong audio clip, the leak that's allegedly Simple Creatures is gone now.

it could end up being like “say goodbye” aka the least memorable green day song of all time

This sounds way more upbeat and fun though

Also I was skeptical at first, but I’ve come around to butch walker being potentially the exact shot in the arm they needed

I got as far as thinking "I don't know, Say Goodbye's more memorable than..." and I was trying to think of a less memorable Trilogy song but I couldn't remember one.

I think that in the beginning of the video Billie/the hooded person says something like “this is the part that I love more”.

I've always thought he was saying something about harmonies, which would make sense given the backing singers in the booth.

Have downloaded the insta clip if anybody is worried about it being deleted.

Also, I've been lurking this thread since well the old thread before the Kerrang shenanigans. Finally joining in. Hi everyone!

He’s saying:

“You got the harmonies going on there. Yeah, play around!”

hahahha exactly, i’ve listened to every song probably hundreds of times, and when rev rad came out i skipped say goodbye.  i finally listened to it when i was driving back home from northern michigan and when he said “say hello to the cops on patrol” i busted out into laughter. just nothing redeeming about that song.

Honestly a lot of RevRad is forgettable to me, when I first listened to it I got confused looking at the tracklist because by the time I hit the title track I had entirely forgotten ever hearing the opener.

Is Say Goodbye really that bad to you guys? I think it's great, one of the highlights of the album imo

I harbour no specific ill will against it, it inspires in me just as little feeling as pretty much everything else on the album.

that’s fair. like i stated earlier, i think it was a great “comeback” (in the sense them and all their peers came out with new music after a few years of legit no “rock”)

they really just played it safe, and i can’t blame them after the trilogy, even though the trilogy to me is still really damn good. but now they should experiment, all of their “peers” have embarrassed themseleves

weezer - covering 80s pop hits for that nostalgia money

blink - not having tom is such a huge blow, he brings so much youth physically and mentally.

sum 41 - watch the tween wave south park episode, all i hear when i listen to their music is farting, sorry if i offend anyone with that. 45 was an embarrassment of a song.

green day needs to take a risk, they aren’t going to lose any fans at this point, and we support them exploring new sounds. (as long as that sound isn’t fall out boy)

and i really do like weezer and some blink so that’s just my honest criticism, not trying to hate here. i just think green day has so much more musical and artistic integrity than them.

Totally. It was an outstanding sound, kind of underrated.

Say Goodbye is great, especially Billies "THIS IS HOW WE..."

that reminded me of imagine dragons, and it made me want to say “hey billie, what the fuck were u thinking there”

i like the bridge or solo or whatever you call it, i don’t know music. that was very very pleasing to the ear, i just wish the rest of the song could live up to that

Had someone compare the video with Butch Walker studio photos to see If is the same place?

It’s definitely different, but they could’ve been doing backing vocals at a different studio
